13th Birthday Party Ideas?

Z

I'm turning 13 this December (the 29th) but i'm planning to have my party January 5th, or a Saturday in January.
I'm not that much of a girly-girl, I definitely don't want pink decorations or invitations, blue, turquoise, purple, absolutely!
Any ideas for food, decorations, games, links to cool planning websites or invitations? Thanks so much!
And this party has my guy friend and my girl friends AND all my family, so it has to be something everybody will like. Spa parties probably won't work.

Answer
I'm 14 and I think that having an ice skating party would be a great idea.(since it'swinter and everyone likes that)

Food:
Pizza(everyones fave lol)
chips
soda
birthday cake(w/your fave design on it, ice cream cake would go w/the theme)
brownies
candy

set-up:
meet at your house and than you guys go in a carpool to the skate rink where you guys could skate for about 2 and a half hours or so, than you could go back to your house, have pizza, than have a dance party(whatever music you like is great, but I would choose holiday up-beat songs like the radio carol of the bells, winter wonderland, and songs such as cotton eye joe. barbie girl(everyone will laugh at that one, but in a good way), and great balls of fire. ciara goodys and one two step are also great and Haly Scarnato tell him, and turn the beat around are great for getting everyone moving. after that you could have the b-day cake and open your gifts.

Decorations:white and ice blue streamers, silver balloons, banner saying happy birthday, pin the tail on the donkey(I know it sounds dorkey but it gets so crazy and fun) a pinyata in the shape of an ice skate, and pictures of skaters all over the walls(hence christina yamaguchi, sarah hughs, michelle kwan.

games:
pin the tail on the donkey
pinyata
dance party
treasure hunt(hide iteams around the house such as lip gloss, mini bottles of body spray from bath and body works, mini pinball hand-held games(for guys)claires earrings, phone keychains, skating pins, pencils, pens, notebooks, juice boxes, hackey sacks, (p.s give the guys a seperate list with things that they would want to find) and whoever wins could get a super prize such as a purse from target like this
http://www.target.com/Xhilaration-Heart-Handbag-Pink/dp/B000OMEZEQ/ref=sc_ri_3/601-8041683-6633733
movie tickets, gift cards to panera, blockbuster, or fave clothing store, paylas, orticket to go ice skating, five dollars,or a webkinz, be bratz dolls(4 fun), for the guys it could be a soccer ball, sports jersey, blockbuster gift cards.

Invitations
http://ecards.myfuncards.com/myfuncards/Occasions/Invitations/11173/mfc_birthday_celebration.jhtml (send 2 all your friends)
or just make a card(that way you can do it any way you want)

other ideas of parties could be:
indoor pool party
movie thearter party
mini golf indoor party
(same after idea you just go to a different place. you may have to adjust the decorations a little to work with the different ideas but they should all work. the blockbuster gift cards would work awesome with the movie thearter idea.

oh yea the pinyata could be in the shape of an ice skate, a golf ball, movie ticket, or pool cap. You could also make it pin the tail on the reindeer sience it's near christmas. inside the pinyata you could put winter candy, and winter oreos for your food would work great.you could also use winter themed candy for your table candy.

hope this helps

Birthday Party Ideas :2 yr girl?

I live in North Carolina.I'm not originally from the US..never had a party..keeping this in mind :
*My girl is turning 2 in March. She has just 2-4 friends her age.I want to invite some older people too.
*I live in an apartment-no backyard. But we have an indoor clubhouse I can rent.
*I want to dress her up in a tutu.Is that okay for a bday party?
*How do I make sure how many people are coming for sure? What time is best for the party(bday is on a sunday)?
*What kind of food should I order(since there will be adults also)? *What games can I have in the clubhouse(limited space)?
*What will the adults do when the kids r playing?

I'm so nervous about this party.Appreciate any help!

Answer
The tutu is fine. You could have a ballerina or princess themed party to go along with the tutu or just let her wear it. Send out the invitations 1-2 weeks before the party and have a RSVP date on the invite along with your number to call.
For the time of the party if she still takes naps try and have it before or after her nap so she wont be cranky and she can enjoy the party.
For the food you can have pizza, tacos, sloppy Joe's hot dogs, cookies, etc. Pretty much anything will work. Also make sure you have drinks for the kids and the adults.
Games-Pin the tail on the Donkey, Bean bag toss, bowling, make a small craft, or toddler musical chairs.
The adults will be talking to one another and watching the kids play.
Try not to be so nervous and if you would like help with anything else feel free to email me. I have done many of parties.

Birthday Party Ideas..?!?

Piggly.Wig

Okay, I wanna have a birthday party, but I dont really want to go swimming.. but maybe if there were a fun place at a hotel or something..?! I would invite 19- 20 thirteen year old girls! Any ideas?! :)

Answer
1. Teen's Funky Fairytale party! For my daughter's 14th birthday, we decided to host a Funky Fairytale party. This is a great idea for teens as it's not babyish like a normal 'fairytale' party. It's for teens only! I guarantee your teen and her friends will love it! We decided that the time would be from 4pm to 7pm, with 10 girls coming and 3 sleeping over. The invitations were typed up on gorgeous unicorn paper (tying in with the fairytale theme) we found for only $2 at a discount store: ONCE UPON A TIME.... DEAR_______, YOU'RE INVITED TO ANNA'S 14TH FUNKY FAIRYTALE PARTY. TIME, DATE, PLACE, RSVP, ETC. COME DRESSED UP AS YOUR FAVE FAIRYTALE CHARACTER! LOVE ANNA. We held the party at our house as we've got a huge backyard. Here was our plan: Decorations: From our trees we hung up candy such as Chupa Chups, candy snakes etc, and using our cubby house we stuck lollies all round it as THE WITCHES HOUSE FROM HANSEL AND GRETEL We hung up rope from two trees that were close together, making a kind of enclosure. Then from the rope we hung up multicoloured streamers. In the middle of this we sat a mini table and chairs for the girls. This was really cool and the girls enjoyed having somewhere to sit, screened away from everyone! We scattered pastel-coloured balloons all through the house and tied the balloons to trees outside. A red carpet was put outside for the girls to walk on (like in Shrek) and we took photos of them as they walked with style down it. Games: Play pin the tail on the wolf- a traditional fairytale 'baddy'. Dip for marshmallows in a bowl of flour- so fun using only mouths! Go for a walk around your neighbourhood in your costumes which is guaranteed to cause some laughs with the girls Play pass the parcel- the traditional way but with dares. The doughnut game- hang up doughnuts from your clothes-line or from trees using string and race to see who can eat the doughnut first without using your hands! Make up a scavenger hunt- for example, LOOK IN THE PLACE WHERE CLOTHES GO ON HOLIDAY (LAUNDRY ROOM) Play sardines- one 'hider' hides in her choice of place, and the rest of the people, the 'seekers' have to look for the hider. When they find her they hide with her. The trick of this game is not to let the other team members see where you're hiding. The last person to find the 'hider' becomes the new 'hider'. A great game to play is MURDER IN THE DARK- either inside or outside at night, as it has to be dark when you play. Nominate one person to be the 'murderer' and the rest the 'hiders'. The hiders hide and the murderer has to find them and scare them. The person the murderer has just found becomes a murderer too. MAKE SURE THE LIGHTS ARE OFF WHEN YOU PLAY THIS! \*SEE RESOURCES FOR MORE GAMES Food: Snacks- Meringues Mini pavlovas with fresh fruit \*resources Cupcakes decorated with bats, fairies etc\* see resources Chocolate spiders \* resources Fairy bread Candy Dinner- Barbeque or roast Hot fries Salad or veggies Pizza Dessert- Icecream Birthday cake\* resources Make your own sundae Chocolate Drinks- Soft drink, juice, water etc Prizes: At Anna's party we gave away prizes to her friends, just cheap or bargain things like these- Cute bracelets approx. $2 Body spray approx. $2 Lipgloss/balm approx $2.50 Bath items like baths salts, etc approx. $2.50 We found another great idea is to copy a favourite, new CD and give a copy to each girl. Party Bags: Buy some cute bags, like the ones we bought from online store for only 25c each! \*resources Fill the bags with: Candy Chocolate A thank-you note- saying thanks for coming or thankyou for your beautiful gift.

2. THEME-Fire and Ice. The party celebrates the release of the new film Eclipse." Although the party encompasses all three books the theme is taken from the 3rd book and 3rd film. INVITATIONS-In "Eclipse Bella eats Poptarts. I will buy Strawberry and Blueberry Splitz Poptarts (one side of the Poptart is strawberry and the other side is blueberry). The strawberry represents fire and the blueberry represents ice. I will create invitations on my computer and wrap the label around the individually wrapped Poptarts. On the invitations, I will include the theme and ask Which one are you." (Fire-Team Jacob and Ice-Team Edward). I will also include that there will be a costume contest and to dress as their favorite character. I will rent a room but you can have it anywhere. DECORATIONS-In "Eclipse there is a graduation party that resembles a nightclub. I will recreate a nightclub. I will use very little light. I will buy a couple of red or black inflatable couches, chairs and bean bags. I will use small tables, and cover them with black tablecloths and put them next to the seating. I will buy glow in the dark stars and stick them around the walls. I will buy a strobe light and black lights from Spencer Gifts. You can get black lights in a light bulb form and put them in a desk lamp. I will do this and put the lamps on the small tables. As

My daughter wants to have a birthday party again this year. Last year, we went to the city and watch the Christmas Light Special (since her birthday is in December). I want something cheap and easy. Not hotels or limos, etc. Please answer ASAP because her party is supposed to be beginning of December and we need to get out the invitations!! Thank you!

Answer
Planning a children's party can be a little overwhelming... even scary. After all, throwing a great party is something your child will remember for a long lime. On the other hand, if the party bombs they will NEVER forget it.

The easiest way to ensure a successful party is to build it around one central theme.

A theme will allow you to integrate all the different elements of the party, it will point you in the right decorating direction, and it will help you plan your activities. Having a theme is essential.

Here are some tips to find Themes for Kids Parties http://www.craft-kits.net/theme-kids-party.htm

Got any ideas for a surprise birthday party?

aishawarya

Hey!
I am planning to throw a surprise birthday party for my sister (who'll be turning 24) this weekend.
Need help on the theme of the party. (To spice up dinner out with friends and make it more exciting!) Any ideas for the invite message? Would love to hear any tossing of ideas!
Thanks!

Answer
So we canât all be party planners, or so you think ⦠but itâs much easier than you think! Mammie has put together a few successful surprise parties, and itâs super easy! Surprise parties are a great way to make your loved ones feel special. Surprise parties arenât always an expensive ordeal either⦠Hereâs your quick guide on âHOW TO THROW A SUCCESSFUL SURPRISE PARTYâ

1. Find yourself an accomplice. The middle person who is going to find out information, and help plan the event.

2. Plan a date- Make sure the special boy/ girl is available on the date. Easiest way to find out - ask your accomplice to see if the special person is free on a specific day⦠Have the accomplice make plans with the special person . For example: When Mammie threw her best friend a surprise birthday party, Mammie had Mammy (accomplice) make plans with her best friend on the day of the party. That way - best friend would never expect anything other than her âplansâ with Mammy (accomplice). You donât want to plan the event too far in advance because the special person may find it suspicious. Ideally try to plan it 2-3 weeks in advance.

3. Pick a venue- Once your accomplice has secured a date- figure out a venue. Easiest way is to have your accomplice plan something where he/she can either take the special person to. For example: Mammy made plans with best friend to hang out during the day and then head home to get ready for dinner. Surprise! happened when they came home. Another example: Have accomplice make dinner plans with special person- and have everyone at that location at least 45 min before. (Saying 45 min will translate to people getting there just on time)

4. Send out the invitations- Best way to send an invitation is via phone. Phone calls will not leak to the special person. However, sometimes we donât always have their phone numbers. If you donât have everyoneâs phone number- get their email. Best electronic way of sending out invitations are through evites. Go to www.evite.com and you can create your own evite. If you arenât close friends with special personâs friends- find a trust worthy person to be a middle person. For example: When Mammie threw a surprise party for her brother, she had his roommate forward all the evites. This way, you donât have to worry about forgetting someone. ***MAKE SURE YOU EMPHASIZE THE *SURPRISE* ASPECT***

5. Follow up- Follow up with the accomplice. Follow up with your guests. A week before your event- send out a follow up email. A few days before your event- get a final count. Make sure the plans are still in effect with accomplice and special person. Confirm reservations or accommodations for event night.

6. Day of event: Set everything up with extra time. When you are planning something like this - you want to make sure you give yourself an extra 45 min-1.5 hours- just in case. If you having the event at your residence, or at a residence, make sure you are completely ready before the guests arrive. If you are having the party at a restaurant - try to arrive early enough for decorations. Most restaurants will allow large parties to sit when 1/2 the party is present so make sure you get some people there on time.

7. Right before the accomplice and special person arrive: make sure everyone is in their place. Last thing you want is a straggler to be wandering, or making excessive noise that will ruin the surprise. Have the accomplice text, or call you right before they arrive. That way you can make sure you have people in place.

8. SURPRISE!!!!! Try to have someone there to capture the moment.

*Keep in mind* A surprise party is an event to remember. Make sure you have a camera to capture all the moments. Try to decorate the venue so that your special person will have no doubt in their mind that this was a planned event. Get a blank scrapbook, color pens, and have your guests write a little message while they wait for the big surprise.

The above 8 steps should be able to aid you in planning a surprise party. The key is to have enough time to plan, set up and execute your party. A surprise party is such a heart warming experience. Go the extra mile and get people together and share a special night with those you love. Good luck!

Birthday party ideas for a 16 year old girl?

birthday party invitations ideas for girls image
Q. Does anyone have any good ideas for a 16th birthday party? I have a medical condition which limits my physical activity (my sports are limited to swimming only right now). I'd like to keep things affordable. Any ideas? Thanks!

Answer
For me at that age (17 now) I just wanted to have fun and chat all night. So we didn't really have anything planned, we were just gonna go with the flow, see what would happen. We put mattresses in the living room, hired some movies and we'd see what we'd do. The only thing that I really had planned was the food. I always like doing something special in that area, like, for example: to gourmet (I'm not sure if that's the word in English (I'm Dutch)), which is where there's a big heating plate on the table and everyone's got it's own little pan to cook. Chocolate Fondue is also real fun to do together, a big pan full with chocolate fondue (http://www.lhj.com/home/Chocolate-Fondue... and then all kinds of fruits, cookies and cake to dip in it. Or to bake pancakes together or for everyone to create it's own pizza. Or to create your own desert with buckets of icecream, fruits, sauces, whipped cream etcetera etcetera. Although this may be a bit more cheezy and young then mature. (I still like it tho)

Also what always will be fun: bowling, miniature golf, swimming, giving each other beauty masks and makeovers and all the other cheesy, cliche girly stuff.

If you're not having a sleepover, just a fancy dinner party is so much fun as well, especially when you all prepare it together! With the whole invitation thing and fancy dress code, even tho you might not be that fancy at all!

PS: at my party: we ended up watching all the movies rented, making a walk through the forest at 2AM, having huge english breakfast and having chocolate fondue and pizza for dinner.

What are some fun ideas for a bowling party?

Meeee

Its not a birthday party its just to have a party. What are some fun ideas like invitations and stuff. I got the idea from an American Girl magazine and want stuff that's for high school kids. The ideas in the magazine are like decorate t-shirts and give out trophies. So i guess something like that but for older kids.

Answer

I'm a girl and want to have a good 16th birthday party. I've had good ones before, but I want this one to be really good. Do you have any ideas on what I could do?

I live in the Cincinnati region of Ohio.

Answer
You have many choices, google some ideas I have put two links in source area. One of the website offers video based invitations and cards to send out which is a totally new concept. What you can do is video record your invitation message and choose any invitation design you like from that website and you can add that personal message into any invitations or cards and send to all your friends. This can be really amazing and you will stand out because of this new idea and creativity. They also have RSVP features.

Now for birthday parties, there is another best website where people posts their birthday party ideas and when I say people posts that means hundreds of thousands of ideas :) so I am sure that you will get something from there to celebrate your sweet 16.

My daughters will be turning 7 and 3 and they share the exact same birthday! (Both born October 3) I want to create a birthday party where they both feel special. I am looking for invitation ideas, theme vs just colors etc.

Answer
They both have different interests, so try to intertwine them if possible so each child can enjoy each others interests. Have them help with as much as possible with decorating, invitations, cookie making and all that is possible for them to do for each others decorating. Invitations could have a hand print from each child and then the name below it. Have the older one try to help the younger one so she feels important. Have Fun!!!
