Birthday Party Invitations?

choosingha

My son will be having a birthday party at an indoor facility where kids can play. Now for the birthday party invites for his classmates, can I just put my email address for the RSVP because I'm not a phone person? I know it's tacky but do you think it can work?
Or can I just put an email address and a phone number and the guests can choose how they want to RSVP?

Answer
Well I just had a Birthday Party for my daughter at an indoor bounce house. So I need a count on how many people. I put my phone number and email address on the invite. Most of the RSVP's came via email. Which was nice so it was easier to keep a count. I always screen my calls so if I didn't know the number I didn't answer and let them leave a message. I think you need both because as weird as it sounds some people just don't email (I know crazy right?) I think I only had 2 people call. So I would say do both and let them choose.

ps. You will also probably get A LOT of people who won't RSVP by the time you requested or at all (it was really annoying)

Party ideas for a 13th Birthday Party?

annie

I'm throwing my daughter a 13th birthday party. The theme is a beach bash luau. What should I have for them to do other than swim,play volleyball. Should I have games? What kind of food should I serve. I could use some great ideas from anyone who throws parties all the time.

Answer
Pool Party Ideas

Be creative⦠it isnât necessary to have all this ideas.

Fun Invitations - options:
Write party information on beach balls and send to guests. {or}
Send party information "message in a bottle" style - fill empty plastic water bottles (remove label) with a little sand and seashells and insert party information into the bottle. Decorate outside of bottle. {or}
A basic pool invitation cards.
~~~~~~
Decorations:
1.Use colorful beach towels for tablecloths.
2.Place sand and seashells in the center of tables. Fill buckets with sand and tie helium balloons to the handles.
3.Hang fishnets around the edge of the party and fill with shells, crabs and seahorses.
4.Hang blow-up beach balls around the party area. Place beach balls by the mailbox with a sign or helium balloons to tell party guests "This is the place!"
~~~~~~
Games:
Set up pool volleyball, or other pool game for a group.
~~~~~
Soaked Shirt Relay
Fun relay for all ages. Teams line up on one side of the pool. They must put on a large t-shirt and swim to the
other side of the pool and back. Then take off the wet shirt and the next player must put it on and swim to the
other side of the pool and back. Keep going until all players have completed the task - first team done wins. The
shirt is very hard to get on and off while it is wet.
~~~~~
The Piñaqua Piñata
1. Using your backyard hose, fill a medium-sized plastic trash bag with one to two gallons of water. Knot the top of the bag.
2. Tie one end of the rope tightly beneath the knot. Toss the free end of the rope over a tree branch (a parent's job) and either tie it securely or have the adult stand by to raise and lower the piñaqua.
3. To play, each kid takes a turn getting blindfolded, getting spun around three times, and then taking three whacks at the piñaqua with the piñata stick. The winner is the one who manages to break the bag and unleash the tidal wave. Needs: Medium-sized trash bag (we used a clear, 10-gallon bag), water, rope, tree, bandanna or scarf, and piñata stick
~~~~~
Most Popular Game!!!
Water Balloon Toss Throw (Itâs just like the game of Dodge Ball or Laser Paint Gun, only you will get wet and stained) Fill the balloon with water and few drops of food color (or any dye color to get the real color out) inside the balloon, do this outside or in the sink plus wear old clothes while doing this. Use several of color to make team. Rule of this game is not to throw above the breast/chest to the face/head. If someone did⦠is out of the game. And arenât allow to throw hard, you only allow to toss throw. It is safer and everyone will have a good time. Divide the team by food color choice. Call friends/family and have them buy balloons and give them the choice of food color and let them do this at home and bring it to the party. This way you have tons of balloons not to do it yourself. Also you got to pick the team for them without them knowing who is on his/her team⦠You get the ideas! Needs: water balloons, select of food colors or dye colors. Or you rather use water gun instead of the balloons... I prefer to do balloons, cuz' water gun runs out fast of water.
PS. Tell your guests to wear old white shirt and old short or bring it to the party. Because once you are hit, the dye will not come off the clothes⦠they also can wear swimsuit, if you want to.
~~~~~
Balloon Brigade Relay Race
This fast-paced race lets winners go out with a real bang. Need: balloons.
1. Assemble each team in single file with the first player in each line holding a balloon.
2. When the whistle blows, each lead player passes the balloon between her legs to the next person in line. Each recipient, in turn, passes the balloon overhead to the teammate directly behind her.
3. The balloon is passed alternately between players' legs and over players' heads all the way down the line. When the last person receives the balloon, he or she races to the front of the line and the balloon pass resumes.
4. The relay continues in this fashion until one of the original players regains position at the front of her line and pops the team balloon.
~~~~~
Pool Butterball Game
Oil the beach ball and divide two team, must try to get the ball away from the other team and try to get to the other side of the pool goalie⦠like football only problem of the game is the ball is greasy and hard to get it. Fun Fun!
~~~~~
Tube Race!!!!
~~~~~
Sucker
Suck or eat a long strand of licorice as fast as you can. Very long thin pieces of licorice for each player. As many players you can get to play. Need: Buy a big box of strawberry laces or licorice (the longer the better). Everyone has to put one end in his or her mouths. The idea is to lick/suck up the lace without using your hands as quick as possible. The room will go silent with the concentration then explode in a fit of giggles when every sees everyone else looking silly! The winner is the first to eat their lace all up yes they can chew donât want them to choke.
~~~~~
Cheetos Head
Try to throw Cheetos at your teammate and make them stick to their head covered with shaving cream. 6 or more players. Needs: plastic shower caps, Cheetos, and shaving creams. One person is seated on a chair. A plastic shower cap (or plastic wrap) is placed on the individual's head. Shaving cream is applied over the entire shower cap. The other team member or members stand behind a line opposite the seated player, about 4 â 5 feet a part. During a preset period of time (60-120 seconds), team members throw Cheetos at the seated player and attempt to get them to stick on the shaving cream. The seated player can assist by moving his head to help "catch" the Cheetos. The team with the most Cheetos stuck on the shaving cream wins.
~~~~~
Limbo
~~~~~
music:
Do you have an ipod? Set it up with a good stereo system. If you donât have one, ask one of your friends who does. Also if youâre in the mood, have a karaoke; this will be a fun entertainment!!!
~~~~
Food: Pick any items.
Pizza - order or create your own.
Baked Potato Bar - Baked potato, sour cream, bacon bits, cheese, butter.
Tacos Bar - Beef, tacos, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, cheese, salsa.
Salad Bar - salads, veggies, chicken salad, crab salad, bacon bits, tomatoes, broccoli, etc.
Any ideas for a jamaican/Caribbean theme birthday party invitations?
Michele P
Answer
Well, first of all, think of the colors of Jamaica. Black, yellow and green. Or you could use red, gold and green. Otherwise.......
*If you got to a dollar store or craft store, you can purchase a pare of flip flops for about a dollar a pair. Take permanent marker and write the invitation on a flip flop and send them off to people. (You'll have to hand them the invitation, or get it to them in other ways besides actual mail...unless you go put it in their mail box yourself.)
*Make your invitations out to be like plane tickets, as if it's a ticket to Jamaica or the Caribbean. Or, you could make it as if it were a travel brochure.
*message in a bottle? You could use simple coke bottles. (Just soak the bottles in warm water to make sure to get the paper off). Or, you could use glass bottles if you can find them. You could also fill the bottles with sand and sea shells
*Go out and find some post cards of a beach (Look at hotels or someplace near you that may have some...if there are beaches near you by any chance). Have the invitation scrolled out on the back of the post card!
Valere H
my bday is in the begeening of april and i am turning 12. I want to have a really cool/fun mixed gender birthday party. what themes, or what should i do 4 it? plz reply soon!
Answer
Hollywood party
Hawain Luau party
Mall scavenger hunt party
picture scavenger hunt party
Holly wood party/red carpet party
Send the invitations out on star shaped black card stock with gold glitter decorating it. Be sure to tell everyone to dress up formal. For decorations have a red carpet, streamers, and gold and silver helium balloons. Get some people to be the "paparazzi" to take pictures and ask for autographs. Have finger food for dinner and a star shaped cake for dessert.
Hawain Luau- Make invintations out of beach balls then deflate and hand them out, as a message in a bottle, or a plane ticket to hawaii Have everyone dress up hawain. Lei's (thouse flower necklaces), bathing suites with grass skirts etc.
Have pina coladas and tropical fruit (mango, pinapple etc.), hawwain pizza
decorate with fish nets, shells, and paper fish.
your party favor can be sunglasses, lei, sunscreen, and some cheap dollar store towels
for the mall scavenger hunt have eeveryone get into partners. Give each pair a list with all the stores they have to find. each pair then has to go anound the mall and get something to represent each store (bag, tag, picture, flyer etc.)
for the photo scavenger hunt divide into two teams. Each team will need a digital camra. Give each team a list of things they need to take a picture of (the whole team making a pyramid, at a certain store, everyone's shoes, etc.)
Or you could have a pool party, go bolwing, BBQ
Got any ideas for a surprise birthday party?
birthday party invitations messages
 on Floral 60th Birthday Party Invitations
birthday party invitations messages image
aishawarya
Hey!
I am planning to throw a surprise birthday party for my sister (who'll be turning 24) this weekend.
Need help on the theme of the party. (To spice up dinner out with friends and make it more exciting!) Any ideas for the invite message? Would love to hear any tossing of ideas!
Thanks!
Answer
So we canât all be party planners, or so you think ⦠but itâs much easier than you think! Mammie has put together a few successful surprise parties, and itâs super easy! Surprise parties are a great way to make your loved ones feel special. Surprise parties arenât always an expensive ordeal either⦠Hereâs your quick guide on âHOW TO THROW A SUCCESSFUL SURPRISE PARTYâ
1. Find yourself an accomplice. The middle person who is going to find out information, and help plan the event.
2. Plan a date- Make sure the special boy/ girl is available on the date. Easiest way to find out - ask your accomplice to see if the special person is free on a specific day⦠Have the accomplice make plans with the special person . For example: When Mammie threw her best friend a surprise birthday party, Mammie had Mammy (accomplice) make plans with her best friend on the day of the party. That way - best friend would never expect anything other than her âplansâ with Mammy (accomplice). You donât want to plan the event too far in advance because the special person may find it suspicious. Ideally try to plan it 2-3 weeks in advance.
3. Pick a venue- Once your accomplice has secured a date- figure out a venue. Easiest way is to have your accomplice plan something where he/she can either take the special person to. For example: Mammy made plans with best friend to hang out during the day and then head home to get ready for dinner. Surprise! happened when they came home. Another example: Have accomplice make dinner plans with special person- and have everyone at that location at least 45 min before. (Saying 45 min will translate to people getting there just on time)
4. Send out the invitations- Best way to send an invitation is via phone. Phone calls will not leak to the special person. However, sometimes we donât always have their phone numbers. If you donât have everyoneâs phone number- get their email. Best electronic way of sending out invitations are through evites. Go to www.evite.com and you can create your own evite. If you arenât close friends with special personâs friends- find a trust worthy person to be a middle person. For example: When Mammie threw a surprise party for her brother, she had his roommate forward all the evites. This way, you donât have to worry about forgetting someone. ***MAKE SURE YOU EMPHASIZE THE *SURPRISE* ASPECT***
5. Follow up- Follow up with the accomplice. Follow up with your guests. A week before your event- send out a follow up email. A few days before your event- get a final count. Make sure the plans are still in effect with accomplice and special person. Confirm reservations or accommodations for event night.
6. Day of event: Set everything up with extra time. When you are planning something like this - you want to make sure you give yourself an extra 45 min-1.5 hours- just in case. If you having the event at your residence, or at a residence, make sure you are completely ready before the guests arrive. If you are having the party at a restaurant - try to arrive early enough for decorations. Most restaurants will allow large parties to sit when 1/2 the party is present so make sure you get some people there on time.
7. Right before the accomplice and special person arrive: make sure everyone is in their place. Last thing you want is a straggler to be wandering, or making excessive noise that will ruin the surprise. Have the accomplice text, or call you right before they arrive. That way you can make sure you have people in place.
8. SURPRISE!!!!! Try to have someone there to capture the moment.
*Keep in mind* A surprise party is an event to remember. Make sure you have a camera to capture all the moments. Try to decorate the venue so that your special person will have no doubt in their mind that this was a planned event. Get a blank scrapbook, color pens, and have your guests write a little message while they wait for the big surprise.
The above 8 steps should be able to aid you in planning a surprise party. The key is to have enough time to plan, set up and execute your party. A surprise party is such a heart warming experience. Go the extra mile and get people together and share a special night with those you love. Good luck!
What should I do for my 16th birthday party?
Jvdgbv25
I'm a girl and want to have a good 16th birthday party. I've had good ones before, but I want this one to be really good. Do you have any ideas on what I could do?
I live in the Cincinnati region of Ohio.
Answer
You have many choices, google some ideas I have put two links in source area. One of the website offers video based invitations and cards to send out which is a totally new concept. What you can do is video record your invitation message and choose any invitation design you like from that website and you can add that personal message into any invitations or cards and send to all your friends. This can be really amazing and you will stand out because of this new idea and creativity. They also have RSVP features.
Now for birthday parties, there is another best website where people posts their birthday party ideas and when I say people posts that means hundreds of thousands of ideas :) so I am sure that you will get something from there to celebrate your sweet 16.
