Art Camp Help.?

Yodel-a-e-

So this summer me and my friend are running a beach themed art camp. We basically have the art part planned out, but we need help with activities for that age group (4-8, I know bad combination)

4 year old can't just do art the whole time, so we need activities that are somewhat beach themed that everyone will love. Also if you know any songs (and I'm not talking about preschool songs, I mean actual songs) we could play, please tell me. We already have all the Disney songs and Grease and all.

Thanks

Party ideas for 13 year olds?

Cockatoo

I'm having a birthday party this year and I'm turning 13 (well duh!!!) except I was wondering, any ideas for a party? I am not girly and am not into clothes, hair, shopping and all that kind of stuff. I'm quite sporty and like adventure kind of stuff. I was thinking of a water themed party at my house with a big water-balloon war anda slip-n-slide thin go. What do you think? By the way, I don't have the most money in the world so it can't be anything to eccentric. Also, how many people should invite? What food should I have, including the cake!!!?
Thanks xxx

Answer
here are some of the things Ive done for birthdays : Swimming and a meal.
Bowling then shopping then a takeaway and sleepover.
Fancy dress party.
Meal with friends then Dvd night in (:
Garden campout and garden party.
For my 13th I Had a limo ride around the towns and then came home and we camped in my garden had hot chocolate, pizza, candles, chocolate fountain(A bowel of melted chocolate and things to dip is just as good if you dont have this)
For my 10th birthday we did swimming and bowling and then a limo ride.
Themed parties are always fun :D

.. I think seeing as your sporty you should do something along the lines of what you were thinking, There are loads of activities you can do like, Go Karting, High rope challenges, all sound really fun :) Or you could just have the water thing at your house, If its outsidey I'd have a BBQ with things like hot-dogs and burgers and then little snacks like crisps and biscuits.. Then You could have a few people sleepover do face masks, nails and girly things whilst watching DVDs.. At my latest birthday we bought some Chinese lanterns really cheap from the Internet and let them go when it was dark after writing messages on them, It was really nice :)

Hope that helped :D ..

Chocolate themed birthday?

Saviour

What do you think of this? We have a small chocolate fountain, but that's it. I'm desperate right now, everything i have thought of just isn't working. If you don't like this theme, any suggestions for a teen birthday party??

Answer
That seems really cool actually, and I have a chocolate fountain too, they're awesome!

Make sure to have alot of fruit like (strawberries, bananas, melon, grapes, raspberries, blackberries, etc. for dipping) as well as things like: cookies, biscotti, pretzels(YUM!), marshmallows. If the fountain is your main attraction, make it big with a sea of things to dip in!

You can always give chocolate facials. I would look for instructions and a recipe online. Instead of cucumber slices, give everyone strawberry slices for a joke!

Chocolate cake, brownies or other desserts could also be included.

The chocolate theme is hard for things other than food, like activities etc. You can always just make it a slumber party too, with a chick flick. Try a recipe for chocolate-coated popcorn.

----

As for other themes, I would reccommend an outdoor party since it's summer, like Summer Splash -> with water balloons, water guns, a slip and slide and pool (if you have one) or a few blowup pools. Even at this age, all of this is fun. Serve a BBQ for lunch, and have music blasting and lots of munchies!

You could do something similar to that, but a backyard Campout. Set up a tent, and a mini campfire (with permission). Make s'mores, have a sing-a-long, and then later a camp-out. Bring your flashlights!

--- Good luck! :)

How To Have A Fabulous Camping Themed Party?

Brooklyn

I am having a camping themed birthday party late August. I have a few ideas such as:

~Swimming in the lake (a.k.a our pool)
~Making s'mores with our fire pit
~Watching a movie under the stars (we got a projector and a screen + will be watching from the tent)

I think a camping themed party is kind of out there and might be hard to pull off. Can you think of any ideas for the party (in general or specifics) or any suggestions other than the ones listed above?

P.S: I have NEVER been camping so I don't really have the experience like others, so is there anything that I am missing that makes camping truly spectacular? Thanks!

A few things to keep in mind:
~ I am a girl going into Middle School and so is everyone else I am inviting.
~ It will be a 'Slumber Party' also, so any ideas that we would do later in the party would be great!
~ Anything camp related will be appreciated, from food ideas to activities.
~ We won't actually be sleeping outside.

Answer
Cool, that's creative! I suggest that you make your own invites. It could be come to Camp ___ (your last name or first or whatever) and your address for some Creepy, Crawling, Camp Fun! You could have a scavenger hunt with teams and a point system. And tell scary stories under the stars. Also you could make these "BBQ" cupcakes. There's some on pinterest, it's basically icing and candy to look like a grill. And there's a similar cake design. You could have a bonfire and ask everyone to bring their latest school stuff and burn it. Y'all could all make t shirts with Camp whatever on it. It's easy, just get a pack of colored tees and iron on letters or fabric markers. When y'all are outside roasting marshmallows or whatever you could put on a campfire song (spongebob lol) or just the sound of nature. In goody bags you could give out fake bugs, lip gloss, etc...also a camp survival kit (band aids, water bottle, flashlight mini, compass, and trail mix.)
You could have games like 'fear factor' with obstacle courses or like apple bobbing except one of the apples has a fake bug in it to find or something? Prizes could be candy, magnetic fishing pole (dollar store) whatever. Also for food you can have dirt ice cream which is crushed Oreos, favorite ice cream and gummy worms. You can use lanterns for the scavenger hunt and hid glow in the dark bugs and stuff. Look for fireflys and such. Make it a fun one and good luck!

Buffy

What are some games or activities we may be able to do to have fun.

Answer
Twister, karaoke, movie night, truth or dare, card/board games.

Or have a themed party, like a luau, or "camping trip" where you can make s'mores (inside), or learn how to hula.

Q. I'm going to host a camping themed birthday party.
I've booked tents at a water sports club.
So far i've planned renting equipment such as surfboards and body boards and also a bonfire.
What activities can we do? and what food should i buy to cook in the bonfire?
Additional info: 16 year olds girl's party, on a beach.

Answer
Me and a couple friends got a branch off a tree and sharpened all of it's limbs and put a bunch of hotdogs on it. got one person on each end and spun it next to the fire for a few minutes. Don't actually put it in the flame. that was impressive and got some people excited. so yes, you can mass cook hot dogs on a bonfire!

Helping out with little cousins birdthday party! She is going to be 3 and loves Dora and Boots. We have decided to do a game called FIND SWIPER and another called MAP savanger hunt. If you are familiar with the show, then you will probably understand the basis if those games. Does anyone have any more ideas? The kids age ranges are 3-10. Prizes and goodies have already been added lol.

Does anybody have any teen party ideas?

Abby Leigh

I'm a girl and I'm gonna be 14 in May. I'm really particular so I don't want any of these ideas cause I've already done them:

Murder Mystery
Spa Sleepover
Luau
Swimming Party
Water Themed Party
Regular Sleepover

So yeah. I live in PA. I could have my party in the summer. It doesn't really matter. I just want ideas. Thanks. =]

Answer
-go to a beach, maybe have a bonfire or a BBQ, swim, play beach volleyball, etc
-take your closest friends, dress up, and go out to a fancy dinner
-get your hair and makeup done, and have a photo shoot
-go shopping and have a mall scavenger hunt with items to get and crazy dares, and give each team a disposable camera to take pics of everything they do
-have an amazing race party
-rent out a hall and have a dance party
-go to an amusement park
- bring a best friend or two and go camping
-have a bowling party
-go ice skating
-go laser tagging, rockclimbing, to a gymnastics place, or to do some kind of an outdoor adventure sport
-if you do some kind of an activity like for example horse back riding, often they will give riding lessons to your friends and let you have a barn sleepover. Or if you dance most dance studios offer birthday parties.

it really depends of how many people, if its boys and girls, and your budget but i hope you have an amazing party :)
