How To Have A Fabulous Camping Themed Party?

Brooklyn

I am having a camping themed birthday party late August. I have a few ideas such as:

~Swimming in the lake (a.k.a our pool)
~Making s'mores with our fire pit
~Watching a movie under the stars (we got a projector and a screen + will be watching from the tent)

I think a camping themed party is kind of out there and might be hard to pull off. Can you think of any ideas for the party (in general or specifics) or any suggestions other than the ones listed above?

P.S: I have NEVER been camping so I don't really have the experience like others, so is there anything that I am missing that makes camping truly spectacular? Thanks!

A few things to keep in mind:
~ I am a girl going into Middle School and so is everyone else I am inviting.
~ It will be a 'Slumber Party' also, so any ideas that we would do later in the party would be great!
~ Anything camp related will be appreciated, from food ideas to activities.
~ We won't actually be sleeping outside.

Cool, that's creative! I suggest that you make your own invites. It could be come to Camp ___ (your last name or first or whatever) and your address for some Creepy, Crawling, Camp Fun! You could have a scavenger hunt with teams and a point system. And tell scary stories under the stars. Also you could make these "BBQ" cupcakes. There's some on pinterest, it's basically icing and candy to look like a grill. And there's a similar cake design. You could have a bonfire and ask everyone to bring their latest school stuff and burn it. Y'all could all make t shirts with Camp whatever on it. It's easy, just get a pack of colored tees and iron on letters or fabric markers. When y'all are outside roasting marshmallows or whatever you could put on a campfire song (spongebob lol) or just the sound of nature. In goody bags you could give out fake bugs, lip gloss, etc...also a camp survival kit (band aids, water bottle, flashlight mini, compass, and trail mix.)
You could have games like 'fear factor' with obstacle courses or like apple bobbing except one of the apples has a fake bug in it to find or something? Prizes could be candy, magnetic fishing pole (dollar store) whatever. Also for food you can have dirt ice cream which is crushed Oreos, favorite ice cream and gummy worms. You can use lanterns for the scavenger hunt and hid glow in the dark bugs and stuff. Look for fireflys and such. Make it a fun one and good luck!

Will you help me with an "indoor camping" themed party?

My friend is turning 17 and loves camping. She also loves fairy tales and mystical creatures. We are theming her party "woodland creature campout!" Some of the attendees are dressing like mystical creatures and others are dressing in camo/plaid. What funny/fun activities can we do? I am at a loss.

BURGLARE ALARM GAME- Set a little timer and have everyone go out of the room. One person stays in and hides the timer. Then the other children come back in and try to find the timer before it goes off. Whoever finds it gets some kind of prize and also a chance to hide it the second time around. In case the timer goes off before anyone has a chance to find it, the person hiding it gets a prize. For an added effect this could be played in a dark room using flashlights.

HIDE AND SEEK THE BLAIR WITCH WAY- (Best for teenagers) This is a new type of hide and seek to play using a mobile phone and your home phone. Wait until itâs dark and turn out the lights. One person hides with a cell phone. In the pitch black, everyone goes looking for this one person. Every so often the person hiding must call the house phone and give clues to where he/she is hiding. This game is thrilling and fun. If you have one, use a night vision video camera to follow the guests and watch the tape later.

SCAVENGER HUNT - Go to the Mall, home or outside and do a scavenger hunt. Make a list of things to find and set a time limit and go for it.

You will need to have your mom or someone the day before go to the mall, or hide things at home or outside. If at mall have your mom go to the mall and find like 20 items in store windows for you to hunt for. Just don't let her go to early for the windows might change. Otherwise have her hide where you will be doing this.

Give each person a piece of paper with the items on it and space to write what store they found it in or collect the items that are hidden AND HAVE A PRIZE FOR THE WINNER.

Always go scary. Scary stuff while camping and scary movies and video games make the best night ever.

Any good ideas for a sweet 16 birthday party?

I'm turning 16 on June 27th (yeah, I know it's a long time, but my parents plan everything like, a year before), and I'd like to do something really special since it's a big deal.

The problem is, none of my friends get along.
I'm, I guess you can say 'clique floater', and I have a lot of friends that are from different 'cliques', and so if I have a girls' night out, they'll probably get into fights or something.

I originally wanted to do a big 50s Hollywood themed party, but I'm worried that it might cause awkwardness and none of my friends really dance.

:/

Here are some ideas you might be able to use:

My idea is for a Capture the Flag party. I'm going to be turning 14 so I thought, I'll try something new. Our local park district has a lot of hiking trails and camp outs areas around it so it'll take place there. The invitations could be a torn up piece of paper with all the usuals on it. Then also send with it a colored bandana (i.e. a orange bandana for the orange team). Then once all the guests get there, with they're bandanas showing what team they are on. (there are 2 teams) Each team has a headquarters where the flag is located. You'll also need lots of water balloons, it should also be hot out. (you might need to explain the game to your guests) Some people stay back an guard the flag while others head out to get the other teams flag is. The point of the game is to capture the other team's flag and bring it back to your team headquarters. You can also capture prisoners from the other team and put them in the jail at the headquarters. If you hit them with a water balloon, then you've caught them. But you have to keep your jail guarded, or all the prisoners can run away. No hitting or tackling is allowed for the player's safety. During the duration of the game you should have water, in case anybody is thirsty. When it's over, everybody comes back from food, and a small party. (i.e. time for cake, presents, music and all that stuff) have fun! and play safe!

For my 14th birthday party, we did a mall madness game idea. For those of you who dont know what mall madness is, it is a board game kind of thing for mainly girls. In the game you have certain things to shop for. But anyway, for the birthday party, (party of 6) we all went out to dinner first. Next, we actually began the party. We split into teams of two (make sure everyone on the team gets along for the most fun). Each team got $28 (i was born on the 28th of February). Each team had to buy 7 items. my name is shannon so each team had to buy an item that started with an s, h, a, etc. The team that spent the closest to $28 won that game. (Keep all receipts so you can return everything. The second part of the party took more planning. My parents took close up pictures of things in the mall with a digital camera. They gave each team copies of the same pictures. We had to plot where those things were on the map and take a picture with someone on our team standing in front of where the close-up picture was taken. **Make sure your mall is ok with people taking pictures** The team that correctly guessed the most pictures one that game. The rest of the night we played the actual game and ate cake and stuff. It was a great party!
