girl's sweet 16 party ideas?

Yes, I do

So I'll be turning 16 this fall and am thinking up ideas for my "sweet 16" which will most definitely be a "mixed" party (as in both genders attending)
To be totally honest I hate thinking of it as such a girly, princessy, spoiled brat occasion-- I find those gross. I've already tossed some ideas about with my mother and here's what we've come up with::
-Capture the flag::
One of my favorite outdoor games. Gotta love this one-- It's my top pick.
-Nerf war:
Nerf guns are always a plus!!
-Roller Skating at the local roller rink.
OK so I'll admit I've had 2 or 3 parties at the rink, but I'm a Rollergirl... What else could you expect from one!? (a rollergirl is a chick who plays roller derby for those who don't know)
-Beachy-barbecuey thing at the beach on Lake Superior
This one would have to be more towards summer but I still love it. Rocks are fun to climb.
-Scheduling a Roller Derby bout for my party
My mom started the local roller derby league. It wouldn't be that hard to do this one :P
Yeah, I've got nothing else. If you have some ideas they'd be very appreciated. Just for some further info, I'm not girly and therefor hate the typical spa day, shopping at the mall, princessy ****. Please don't suggest those generic ideas.
I like rock music, outdoorsey things (not most sports though), that sort of thing.
None of my friends are the "partying" type.

thanks!

Answer
It would be cool if you went to a lake or somewhere and camped over night with all your friends. and if your parents trusted you enough you could have them drop you off then camp there overnight and get picked up the next day, and maybe have a bon fire. :) good luck

It's at my house, close to 20 girls but I have no idea what should be going on during the party. I have the food and stuff worked out but just music playing doesn't sound very exciting. I have a big backyard so I could get like a dance floor but I don't want that. Any ideas are helpful! Thanks!

Answer
Bouncy castle
Laser tag
Paintball
Water fight (get loads of guns and water balloons :D)
Trampoline
Pool? Or blowup pool
Camping outside?
Treasure hunt
Bulldog! :D
Hide and seek in the dark with night vision goggles (you can buy a cheap pair for 25 to 60 pounds. The seeker gets the goggles!

How do you plan for a Sweet 16 on a budget?

I need answers fast because my birthday has past and I want my party to be in early may. I really want to have it somewhere other than my house, but I'm not sure how to ask my mom. Also any cool party themes?

Answer
my favorite idea that ive never tried but want to really badly, is a bonfire. invite all your friends or just your closest ones and have a big bonfire on the beach at night. you can make smores, play music, dance, set off mini fireworks, talk, and all sorts of other fun stuff, even just get drunk if thats what your in to haha and maybe you could even ask if you could camp out on the beach, thatd be nice. and the best part is it would cost practically nothing!

help with mine?

I'm turning 16 in a month, and I had an idea, but it's not really me. I'm a girl, by the way. It's just going to be me and 3 friends. We were going to go see a Braves game and camp out in my front yard, but that's the exact opposite of me. Can anybody help me come up with something? I'm obsessed with jazz music and old movies if that helps.

Answer
see about a sleep over, old movies and jazz cd's keep it simple

Okay so for my sweet 16 i want to have a sleepover but my room is too small and my parents would fuss us for making to much noise, so we want to camp out. But my moms afraid of robbers cause theres no gate in my backyard. So i was wondering if like they had party buses that you could like have overnight? Or inflatables that you could get and keep overnightt? Please send me links. And if you have any other ideas.

Answer
A campout sounds like so much fun! Would your parents be open to taking you camping, even if just overnight? Or do any of your friends have yards that your parents would consider more acceptable? Honestly, I can't imagine someone coming and robbing a bunch of people sitting in their backyard (all the goodies are inside, so it would be on par with robbing someone as they come home from work or something, you know?). Ya know, you might want to ask your parents if they have any suggestions...not using a snotty tone, of course, but they really might have a good alternative for you. Good luck, though.

what are some cheap party ideas for a girls sweet 16?

Q. my mom wont let me and my twin sister have a party unless its cheap. it dont even have to be a party. i just want ideas on how to spend it. any suggestion is welcome.

Answer
For our cousin's Sweet 16, we wanted to make it memorable and special. With her help we decided to have a slumber party. She lives with her mother about an hour away, so as part of the celebration we arranged to have the girls for two nights. We will drive to each of the girls' houses and meet the parents, give out phone numbers and assure them that their daughters will be in good hands. As we pull in the driveway to our house, we open the garage door and surprise our daughter with a car! Friday night we order pizza, have cake and open gifts. The girls will 'camp out' downstairs. We'll put down mattresses from beds to make one big 'bed' in front of the TV with lots of pillows and blankets. The girls can listen to music, talk, munch, watch TV or shoot pool while we are upstairs getting some much needed rest! On Saturday our day begins kind of early. I'll take the girls for a Starbucks and pastry and then take them for a European facial at a local cosmetology school. The price is right ($20) and the girls get something great for their skin at the same time! Afterwards, we'll come home and get cleaned up. We're going to play the "16 Question" game. We thought of 16 questions that we'll ask the guests to answer about our daughter. (favorite color, how many guys has she kissed, etc.) Our daughter will be out of the room when we ask the questions. Afterwards, she'll come back in and we'll ask her the questions. The one that gets the most questions right gets a prize (Best Buy gift card). We're also going to have a mini-pool tourney and later on that evening we're off to the local bowling alley for cosmic bowling to scope out guys, get silly and eat bowling alley fries. The girl with the highest score out of 3 games gets a prize! When we get home the girls are once again on their own. For decorations I've got everything in "16" - balloons, flowers, candles, streamers, etc. We also found photos of our daughter doing crazy stuff when she was growing up and put them onto colorful paper and posted them throughout the downstairs. Sure to embarrass her a little and be fun at the same time! We have two cameras for the girls to use as they wish and will develop them and make her a photo album of her party. I made each girl a "goodie bag" with eye shadow, bath and body stuff, shower scrubbie, candy ... ! I think it'll be great fun! On Sunday we're driving each girl back home to her parents house safe and sound! Afterwards, we're coming home to relax!!!!! :-)
