birthday party invitations for 6 year old image
Q. I need ideas for both the babies (There will be a few near one year olds) and older children (4-6 years old) and what things will the adults enjoy? Also, what type of favors should I give out? Any other clever ideas on how to make the day memorable will also be appreciated. And please don't leave comments saying that a one year olds birthday party doesn't need activities, obviously I disagree.

my little genius idea that I want to use for every party here on out? MAKE A MESS! drizzle paint over the invitations, tell guests to bring big t-shirts or other raggedy clothes to change into, supply tempura paints, play doh (probably for the older kids, little ones still mouthing and all) if it is warm outside, a small kiddie pool, to rinse hands in after getting messy, a plain white cake with decorative icing drizzled all over it to make it look like abstract art, a few poster boards (50 cents at walmart) for everyone to paint on, plus a special one just for birthday baby to use as a keepsake, crazy streamers everywhere, water and food coloring in spray bottles for the older kids to play "tag" with, and any other genius messes you can think up. This part is surprisingly easy with simple messy appetizers such as apples, grapes(halved) and mini nilla wafers with a bowl of vanilla yogurt for kids apps. and a french bread or crackers with a delicious dip. If you are having many people over you could even do meatballs or sandwiches. This party is best to be thrown outside, and although it is a huge mess, the cleanup is no more than a regular party. Have fun!

How long should a childrens party last? (6 year old)?

I am working on invitations and do not know how long to have my 6 year old birthday party last. Also what time should I have it??? (it is on a sunday)

Do you want to serve lunch or dinner or just dessert?
I wouldn't do more than 2 hours. 6 year olds have a lot of
energy. If you are doing lunch, 11 - 1, If you are doing dinner,
like 3-5pm or 4 to 6 pm. If you are just doing cake and snacks,
like 1 to 3 pm or 2 to 4 pm.The afternoon is better in my
opinion in between lunch and dinner. You save money and
people have time to go to church and then, get home after
the party and get ready for Monday.
