What should I do when I'm home alone all week?

So tomorrow, all of my family is leaving for a camping trip.
But I can't go because I have school):
They'll be gone for like ten days, and my sister just for the weekend, but she is married and doesn't live here with me.

So, I'm 18, and a girl.
What are things I can do at home, all by myself?
I've been looking on Pinterest, and I guess I could cook a little, and make stuff. But, my supplies are limited.
Any simple little things to do at home alone?
Don't say a party. I don't have enough friends for that. Lol. I have night classes anyways, all except Thursday.
I don't really have friends, at least none that will come over or really have time to hang out.

So what can I do?
I decided I will spend some of my days eating and watching Disney and Pixar movies on the living room floor.

I'm a bit of a lonely person...

The holidays are going to be lean this year. What can I do to make it special for the kids, on a budget?

My husband works full time, but doesn't make enough to have anything left over, after paying the bills. I am 8 months pregnant, and will have a newborn by Christmas. We also have a 6 year old daughter and a 4 year old daughter.

This holiday season is going to be a very lean time for us. Honestly, after we pay our rent, utilities, phone, and gas for my husband's commute to work, we have maybe $90 for the month. This is supposed to feed our whole family for the month. There's nothing left after that.

As you can see, I have no idea how to afford a holiday meal or presents for the kids, of any sort. I feel really badly about it. My girls are so good, kind, helpful, and well-behaved. They don't ask for much, but they do deserve it a lot more than a lot of bratty kids with fancy stuff. We don't even have TV at home (we could only afford TV OR internet, and we needed to choose internet, because I take online classes).

How can I make the holidays special for them, without spending money? Does anyone have a suggestion for fun things to do for kids, at Christmas? I am debating on seeing if I can sign up for an Angel Tree or something...I feel guilty because I don't like handouts, and I know there are people less fortunate than us, like the homeless. At least we have an apartment. I just want the kids to be happy on Christmas, because they really do deserve it.
**I didn't mean that my kids are more deserving of things than the children of wealthy people. I meant that, given the popular idea of "Santa" delivering based upon good behavior, they are very deserving of it, and often times, even more so than the kids who get the gifts which cost hundreds of dollars. That's all I meant.

I already use coupons and believe me, we don't splurge on anything. How could we? We live in a 2 bedroom efficiency apartment (all 4 of us, soon to be 5 of us). I shop at the grocery outlet and use coupons already...

Well, between now and Christmas find ways to save and spend the little you can save on gifts. Clip coupons so you spend less on groceries, conserve electricity to lower your power bill, etc.

See how you can re-purpose things- turning fabric from old curtains, sheets, clothing into pillows or puppets, for interest. Make things- hats, scarves, stuffed animals. Pinterest (.com) is a good site to get some ideas.

Be wise with what you do purchase, and get things they can both use- board games, books, etc. They do not need a lot, nor do they need the most expensive, most popular toys.

Put the focus more on MEMORIES than things. Make handmade ornaments for the tree- there are some very simple and inexpensive ideas. Let them help decorate the tree. Tell the Christmas story. Read books (you can get them from the library). Play Christmas music and dance. Drive around to look at the lights. The night you decorate your tree, camp out under it.

Start attending church if you do not already and they may be able to be in the Christmas play (I would start now, as practice has already started at our church). If nothing else, take them to see the Christmas play. Even our small church does activities like a children's Christmas party, though, and they go caroling, etc. Christmas is on a Sunday this year- you can attend on Christmas day as well.

If it is only going to be your household, you do not need a FEAST. Let your girls help you plan the meal- if they want macaroni and cheese, so be it. You can purchase a small ham, or a turkey breast, if you want- you do not need a big/whole one.

Now, I do take issue with something you said- and I am only pointing it out so that you might change your perspective. You said "They don't ask for much, but they do deserve it a lot more...". Your children are no more deserving than anyone else. Noone should EVER think that way- not poor people, not rich people. Never think you or your children are more deserving than anyone else. You also said you "just want the kids to be hapy on Christmas"- yes, and they can be- especially if they have not been raised to believe it is materialistic. Again- focus on MEMORIES instead of things.
