for my 17th birthday party I'm going out for dinner..is it rude to say they need to pay? how do i word this?

The resturant is really cheap less than $20 (nz) for the meal and drinks..

I'm inviting around 30 friends..so there's no way I'm paying..when my friends have partys we always have to pay for ourselves, but i just dont know how to word it on the invitation haha.

my daughter Chelsei's 8th birthday party is this saturday.

we invited 23 kids and so far, only 7 have told me they are coming (another 3 told my daughter at school they would be there so that' tenatively 12).

5 people DID call/email me to say they weren't coming

so that leaves 9 kids still unaccounted for.

is it highly likely that these kids will show up eventhough they didn't rsvp? I emailed my daughter's teacher (she is coming to the party too) to get contact info for these 9 kids since school is already out

so I want to take a poll on past experiences-will these kids still show eventhough they didn't rsvp?
honeybaby-PLEASE. I'm posting in several areas b/c it's late at night and I won't get many answers just in one area.

and the parties at my house ARE a big deal as are my kids....

If you sent out invitations (from my experience) and you don't receive confirmation that they are coming, then the majority won't turn up
(which is a bit rude I think!)
What a BIG birthday party! I hope Chelsei has a great time.
