Birthday Luau Invitation Wording?

My daughter's 5th birthday is in October. We are having a (n indoor) pool party w a Luau theme. We are making her invitation from card stock in the shape of little flip flops. Please help me with wording! This is going to be a fun, casual party. Snacks, drinks & cake will be served. Followed by swimming.

Wording for Birthday Party Invitation?

We're having a Denim and Diamonds sweet 16 party for my daughter. Along with the standard "You're Invited, Date Time Etc. I'd like to handle the "What to wear" question in the invite. Something like throw on your favorite boots and jeans... or Girls don't forget a little sparkle (or bling might rhyme better.) Help!
I'd like for the kids to be comfortable nothing too formal... jeans, boots if they have them, girls could wear sparkly tops etc.

The thing is if you say 'wear boots' people will assume it is a 'cowboy' type event, whereas some girls might want to be creative and wear a denim dress and look really feminine and dress up a bit.

Do you have anything in mind for them to do in boots? Is it an outside event? If not, then I think the word 'denim' is enough to instruct people that it is a part- casual party. You could put photo-shop images on to the invite to give people an idea of what you're thinking about. If you're too specific people will feel they will have to go out and buy something, whearas ideally you want people to be creative and I think the title really says it all. You could just put 'Dress code: Casual, plus sparkle!' if you're really keen to spell it out.
