What are some party themes for preteen boys?

I guess it depends on what he likes...laser tag, paint ball, air-soft, or a sports party would be cool.

If you want to have the party at home you could have a camp-out in the backyard. We did that for our son's 12th birthday and he still thinks that was the best party he's ever had. The ideas came from here: http://www.passion-for-parties.com/campout.html .

A scavenger hunt would be fun for pre-teens, or maybe even a "Survivor" type theme where they have to compete in challenges.

So, this summer my friend and i are throwing a beach themed party. Were going swimming at her place then having a treat. Then walking over to my place for supper, a bonfire, movie and camp out. Any ideas to make it more fun?! We wanted the beach theme for swimming and camping theme for the bonfire ETC. Any ideas for games(activities) or stuff to make it more fun? We want it to be an awesome day and camp out to share with our friends! You can also add any other ideas you get;) Thanks!
