That is - for a 6 year old's first big birthday party in mid-February? I am thinking I will send them out Friday or Monday but a pal of mine says that's way to early. What do you think? It's exactly one month away.

Answer
2 WEEKS- I HAVE 2 KIDS AND WHEN THEY HAVE A PARTY I SEND OUT THE INVITATIONS 2 WEEKS. THAT WAY IT'S NOT TOO SOON AND IT'S NOT A LAST MINUTE THING EITHER. WHEN MY CHILDREN BRING HOME AN INVITATION IT'S USUALLY FOR A PARTY PLANNED ABOUT 2 WEEKS AWAY ALSO, BUT A COUPLE OF TIMES MY KIDS HAVE BROUGHT HOME INVITATIONS FOR A PARTY THAT WAS WITHIN 1 WEEK AND I HATE THAT! BECAUSE OF COURSE THE KIDS WANT TO GO AND THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES WHERE WE HAD THINGS GOING ON, IF IT WAS MORE OF A NOTICE WE WOULD OF ATLEAST TRIED TO WORK AROUND IT.

What theme should i use for a joint birthday party?

I can't kn

My daughter will be two on November 15 and my little sister will be 11 on November 5.... My sister asked me to do a joint birthday party this year. I'm sure its what my sister wants and I don't feel like it would be taking away from my daughter they absolutely adore each other! I want a theme that will be fun for the older kids but still age appropriate for the lil ones its mainly going to be a family party with just a few close friends for each girl. I already know the main food will be my homemade pulled pork as its traditional for all my family birthday party's. Each child will have their own cake as they will both be blowing out the candles. I also already have a venue in mind.
Now I think I've covered everything!
If you have an idea for a theme that both girls would enjoy please answer!!!

How about a princess-for-a-day theme? It should be fun for the older girls to be treated like royalty, yet still magical for the younger ones!

Snack ideas:

~ Spark-mallows: Stick a decorative toothpick into a marshmallow. Dip the marshmallow into milk, then into Jello powder or Pop Rocks candy. Serve on a decorative plate.
~ Sweet Salad: Take melon balls, cut up strawberries, berries, etc topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with sugar. Maybe serve with a fruit smoothie.
~ Princess Puffs:
Bake frozen pastry puffs and cool. Fill them with whipped cream and top with powdered sugar. Drizzle with melted chocolate.
~ Fairy Tale Mini Fondue: Gather ¾ cup heavy cream, 21 ounces chopped white chocolate, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Heat the cream in a medium-sized saucepan over medium-low heat until itâs hot, which usually takes 2-3 mintes. Then, add the white chocolate and stir until it is melted. Then, stir in the vanilla and pour it into a decorative bowl. You can use strawberries, berries, cake, etc for dipping.

Drink idea:
~ Princess Punch: Mix any flavor of Kool Aid with 1/2 cup of sugar, and add 2 quarts of cold water. Pour in a can of frozen grape concentrate, then stir until it is all dissolved. Then pour in a 2-liter bottle of cold ginger ale, stir gently, and serve. I suggest making this in a punch bowl.

For the cake, I would suggest getting it from a skilled baker, or even better, making it yourself. Then, you can customize it however you like. I would suggest using edible glitter on it, and instead of having regular candles, use sparkler candles.

Also, on the invitation, you could make a dress code and have everyone dress in royal attire. Give the birthday princesses tiaras!

There are many, many ideas on the internet for princess parties on the internet, Iâll include a few links at the end.

Hope this helps, and hope they both have a great birthday! ~â¥
