What are some good birthday party ideas?

My birthday is coming up pretty soon, and I want to have a really fun party this year. I'm still debating whether or not I want to have a huge party with lots of people for just a night, or go somewhere for the weekend with a few good friends. I have a few months to plan as well. Any ideas?
I'm going to be 15. The budget would be around $300-$400.

Is there a tween out there that doesn't love at least one of the singing talent shows that are so popular on television right now? We think not. Let the kids become rock stars for a day with a party like this one designed by Krista Salmon of Kiki's List. Guests received special VIP passes as invitations, and got to enjoy activities that included singing, a guitar piñata, and rock 'n roll tattoos. Oh, and don't forget the swag bag that featured rock star t-shirts, microphones, sunglasses, and glitter gloves. The local paparazzi might even think there's a real rock star in town.

My birthday its a VIP Hollywood im turning 13! any ideas?

I am turning 13 in a little over 5 months i know its a while away but i want to plan ahead. Its my 13 birthday and its my golden birthday so i am turning into a teenager and its my golden birthday what a coincidence. So, when i thought of golden i thought of stars and what fits stars better then celebs and celebs are in HOLLYWOOD. Its confusing but its what i thought of and i am sticking with it. So to start of with my party are INVITATIONS: I was thinking on getting pieces of construction paper and making tickets or just plain getting tickets from the party store. This is there ticket to get into the movie at night. Along with there ticket they are going to get a VIP pass with a ribbon around to hang on you neck. It will say: You are cornily invited to Shaynah's Hollywood birthday bash. Then the times RSVP a list of possible gifts and just details about the party. This pass will be there ticket into getting into the party itself. If they don't have it, oh well there will be a VIP list. Next are DECORATIONS: When they walk in to my house there will be a layout of red fabric symbolizing the red carpet. When they walk in i will be taking pictures (disposable camera) for my soon to be scrapbook. Then i will take there coat and lead them downstairs. When you reach the staircase there will be a sign that says VIP area and streamers so you can see. It will be dark and there will be lights going like a disco ball and its going to be supper cool! Once all the guests arrive we are going to announce something key to my party. The girls have to watch throughout the whole party and watch how the other girls are doing on red carpet struts, best smiles, stuff like that. So that at the end all the girls will be invited to an award ceremony were they will vote.The winners will get wooden stars that are painted gold (found at the local craft store). When they go downstairs there will also be a blanket hanging from the ceiling. This will be key for the first game we are going to play! Behind the blanket is going to be a big box of random accessories such as, tiaras, boas, sunglasses all found at the dollar tree. The red carpet that was upstairs is going to be downstairs for this game. 2 girls at a time are going to be behind the blanket getting dressed in a random outfit using the accessories. Once they say they are ready we will put flashlights on them (to act as spotlights) and start some sort of music. They will strut out while we take pics. This is going to be key for the award ceremony at the end of the party. Once this is done we will all gather around the T.V to play guitar hero and just dance. Then we will all gather upstairs to eat pizza and drink welches sparkling wine/cider out of plastic wine glasses. Then we will go downstairs and play some more video games (for the games we will have 2 T.Vs). Then we will go upstairs once more to eat cake (for me a giant cookie) and then go downstairs for the rest of the sleepover. This is when the award ceremony will begin. Then we will all gather to gossip and watch movies. The only thing my parents have to do its be there for when my friends show up and to order the pizza, oh and cut the cookie. But that's it. So is there anything else i could do to make this even better? I am also considering having a Carnival themed birthday and a Beach Party (this one would be outside). Remember its in August. (its also a sleepover)
