I am going to be turning 13 in may and wanted to have a 'party' (not like a real party just get my friends together and do something and sleep over or whatever) and i need ideas for like a 'party' or what to do and crap like that. but i am a girl but not really a girly-girl but not really a tom-boy either kind of in between i guess you could say. and i am in a place where we get snow so it might be a little chilly still then- not sure. but maybe i could wait untill a few months then have it and i could bring friends up camping with me??? idk... give me your ideas please!!! 10 pts for best answer!! :P

Party ideas....

GLOW-IN-THE-DARK
Surprise your new teen with a nighttime party which boasts a glow-in-the-dark theme! Guests will be thrilled when theyâre escorted into a pitch black room that contains phosphorescent party items. Party stores carry a wide variety of items for such an occasion, including tablecloths with designs that glow in the dark and matching accessories. Other such items include hats, plastic watches, bracelets, glow sticks, cake toppers, birthday candles and wall decorations, to name just a few. To produce a lasting glow-in-the-dark effect, exchange the regular light bulbs in the room with black lights

HOLLYWOOD
Since your son or daughter is the star of the party, integrate Hollywood into this yearâs decorations. Use a red runner leading into the party room and place large shiny gold stars on the floor to each side of it. Write the name of a guest on each star and save the star for the portion of the floor at the end of the runner where the guest of honorâs name can be written. Party hats can be black top hats for males and rhinestone tiaras for females. Decorate the walls with posters of contemporary or legendary movie stars â cardboard stand-ups can be used, too. Place a movie slate on the party table, as well as a plastic version of the Oscar Award. Make popcorn one of the snacks, and serve it in cardboard containers such as the kind youâd find at the theater. Other decorations can include ticket stubs, a film tin, glittery rings, a camera, sunglasses and plastic champagne glasses.

Out to Dinner Teen Party
The kids all dress up and you could start the evening with cocktails at your house. Check out these great drinks recipe books.
Book two tables in the restaurant â one for the teenagers and one for you. It's much more fun for them (and you) to let them have their own space. And you could give your teenager a budget so he/she is in charge of the bill

Sleepover Teen Party
Not a new idea but always popular especially with the girls. Rent a couple of DVD's and get in lots of snacks, drinks and treats and get something special for breakfast (more like brunch!). Arrange for younger siblings to stay with a friend or have their own friend for the night so they don't feel left out or get in the way. Make the teen party invitations to look like sleeping bags and insert a picture of the party host. Buy some packs of disposable cameras so the kids can have fun taking photos of each other. We did this for my daughter's last birthday and it was a great success.

MHB

I really like to think outside of the box, which is why I have always had compliments on how fun my parties were. In the past I have had : Murder mystery dinner; scavenger hunt at the mall. And i have been to parties: we dressed up in character and went to walmart; went ice skating; and the classic sleepover. I want to do something fun this year but I don't know what... A little about me: I have 5 main best friends who I plan on inviting and are all different, I live in the bay area (so no suggestions to go to central park or something :)), I am turning 13 (age appropriate please!!!!!!!!!!), i loooove ice cream, and hanging with my friends. Not much but I hope I can get some good suggestions! and oh ya my birthday is next week so answers soon please. Thanks!
