any suggestions for an awsome big football blow out we are expecting around 30 Plus people

Answer
You would go to a party supply store and get football themed decorations and plates. Everyone or all the dads can wear their fav. football jersey and moms if they wantedl You can host a superbowl themed party with all the snacks and drinks that you would serve at a football superbowl party. for your child and his little guests have a bunch of foam footballs and just let them throw them around and run around with them. Yes you can even go and get some of the white spray paint *(if you can find out the name of the paint they use for the lines on the football field) and decorate your back yard like a field. Have little seats for the little ones like those plastic lawn chairs and camping chairs for the older guests. you can even find football themed decor at walmart. Cute idea!

Q. turning 15....
ideas for location, decorations, food, etc ....
thanx xx
i liv in australia.
so june is like mid minter here.
cant go 2 the beach :(

Answer
Rent out a rerun theatre and take your friends out to in their PJ's to watch your favourite movie(s) along with chips, popcorn, and lots of soda. Make sure not to get too messy. Then you and your friends could head back to your house and have a sleepover. Play games like Jenga with a twist, like on every block there is a question you have to answer such as "First kiss?" or "Tell me a secret?". Things like that.

Then everyone could bring magazines, makeup, and such. Just remember to keep it cleam by using makeup brushes and not your fingers.

------------------
But if your not really into that you and your friends to go to laser tag (in doors) and play. Then you could go back to your place and just hang around talking, because I'm pretty sure you and your friends can easily make anything into fun.
-------------------
Other ideas: Bowling, mini golf, go cart, camping, boating, going to a carnival/amusement park?

What should I buy 5 yr old twins for their birthday?

Mikki Sue7

My daughter was invited to a birthday party in a couple of weeks. It is for twins; boy/girl. The girl I have a couple of ideas for, but I have no idea what to get the boy. I asked them at school and they both smiled and said they didn't know. I asked their mom and she said that she didn't know; they only cared about opening a present. I don't want to to over spend, but want to get decent presents. Any suggestions? DVD? Games? Toys? Thanks!

Answer
Was there any theme on the party invitation? If so, go off of that (i.e. Spiderman toys for the boy/Barbie for the girl if it was a Spidey or Barbie invite.)

Otherwise, craft sets are always good. They have this awesome sidewalk chalk out now that reacts to 3D glasses (included) that is really cool.

Consider getting them completely different things, too. I'm sure that they've had their share of "together" presents or neutral items because they're twins. Separate gifts help them form their own sense of identity and it's truly their "own" - not something they have to share.

As a mom of a 6 years old boy, I have to admit that I enjoy him receiving gifts that are a little more on the educational side - books are awesome, we LOVE doing puzzles together, and board games are great for family fun that we can all enjoy (and games like Sorry involve number recognition and counting - always a plus!)

Just about every store will print out gift receipts, so if you're concerned about the acceptance of the gift, include one in the card. It helps if the kiddos get duplicates and then they can have the joy of "shopping" for themselves!

tips for planning a birthday party for 12 yr old girls?

Answer
you could do a themed party like 50's. you could find a location that would be suited for that like a fountain shop or something and get coke floats. you could make the invitations in the shape of records.. it would be really cute. and the girls could dress up in 50's clothes and hula hoop, and play random games. maybe afterwards they could go to your house and watch grease or something.. it seems like it may be fun!

**EDIT**

Okay here's someone who did something very similar
http://www.birthdaypartyideas.com/html/50s_and_60s_parties_5.html

I actually had the party i described for my 12th birthday. my oldest sister planned it and most of my friends were the oldest so they all thought it was really cool that a 16 year old planned the party..

What are some unique birthday party ideas for turning 13?

micaela k

I am turning 13 in Nov. and I want my b-day party, to soooo cool, and something I have NEVER done before. (i have done: spa party, Halloween party, sleepover(s), dinner\movie\sleepover, etc.) It has to be not too expensive, but not too cheap! have any GOOD ideas?

Answer
I suggested this before:
Movie party theme for hall or at home. Have a movie themed party. They sell decoration kit and lots of decorations for this at oriental trading. com. If at home watch a cool movie, have popcorn and all kids of candy and junk food. Make or buy pizza and have sundaes. Have a sleep over with the girls if you want. Have a dance in a hall with this theme. Have everhyone wear a movie star costume. Favors: black gold metallic beads from oriental, directors clapboard photo keychain from oriental, sunglasses from oriental or windy city novelities (make sure to buy adult ones).

Luau, beach Hawaii: Orientaltrading has the coolest decorations and favors for this theme and the cutest tropical invitation in the bottle. Give your guests leis as they come in. Play Limbo, Hula hoop, and have a few grass skirts and everyone (including the guys) have to give hulaing a try. Again if you have room to do this at home or you can rent a small room. Tropical pinata. Twister. Hawaii site including games: www.alohafriendsluau.com. Cool invite: Flower lei and attach a printed invitation card.

Neon/Glow in the dark This is a cool theme!
invites:
For the invites oriental trading has neon badges. They are neon nylon necklaces that have a clear plastic case. You need to make the cards on your computer using the business card maker on your computer or just use the MS Word. You might want to put a really big VIP in color and on the back at the top Nicole's Neon Bash in cool color and font and then the party info, who what when.

Oriental trading sells Neon gangster hats.

favors:
Oriental sells neon sunglasses.
Oriental also sells neon jelly bracelets
Glow in the dark bracelets and necklaces, lot of sites have these.
Neon Twist and Glow lollipops.
Neon nail polish u.s. toy company
Neon lazer candy (just like pixie sticks but in neon)
Neon slap bracelet at u.s. toy company
Decorations:
More neon themes go along with Glow in the dark.

windy city novelties has neon tablecloths, cups, napkins. Just type neon in their search bar.

Balloons:
Shindigz has black light sensitive neon latex balloons. Again put neon in their search bar.

Shindigz also sells a neon lights personalized banner.

Oriental trading sells a neon fringe banner

Oriental trading sells neon balloon weights for the balloons you buy.

Party cheap has neon party horns and garland.

Glow in the dark sites:
glow source
shop.glogames.com Lots of games here.
Light God

U.S. toy company sells neon body glitter.
Windy city novelties sell lumi balloons that are balloon with lights in them.

Large neon party pack (kinda expensive) at windy city novelties.

So to search for neon and glow items go to all the party sites ands put that in the search bar:

These appetizers were great at our sweegt 16:

Taco Dip:
2 softened cream cheese.
1 16oz sour cream
1 packet taco seasoning.

Mix with mixer. Put in bottom of a cookie sheet. Top with shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and green onions. Use the cheese but you can altered the rest to your taste, maybe add black olives. Make 2 of these. Serve with tostitos scoops.

PUPPY CHOW
6 cups Crispix cereal
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup butter
12 ounce chocolate chips
2 cups powdered sugar
Melt peanut butter, butter and chocolate chips together in the microwave or on the stove. Stir into cereal. Put powdered sugar in a paper sack. Put cereal mixture in and shake until well coated.
Silver Dollar Sandwiches:
These are silver dollar rolls made by your bakery in the grocery store. We have them in our store just ready to grab, for large orders call ahead for some. Anyway they are perfect for parties, hand size, neat. You buy shaved ham, beef and turkey. You put lettuce on if you want and some cut cheese into triagles and put on. Also put real butter on on side of the bun inside of course. And have mustard and mayo packets on ice in case anyone wants that.

GAMES:
Twister
limbo
get a pinata that matches a theme if you choose a theme.

Put a certain number of candies in a pie plate, fill with cool whip or whip cream and guests have to hold their hands behind their back and find the candies to win a prize.

Buy poster of a cute actor or singer (get one of a girl and one of a boy if you are having a coed party). Anyway, put lipstick on the guest, blind fold them and then spin them a couple times and put them in front of the poster and they have to kiss it. Whoever comes the closest to the actor or singers mouth wins a prize. This can be funny, especially if boys come and they have to put on lipstick.

Police/Jail: Isheriffs badges at shindigz. costumes and handcuffs at oriental trading.
Police line up board at oriental trading.
Police red flashing light at shindigz.
Police car cardboard standee at shindigz.
wanted posters at buycostumes.
Get some brick wall backgrounds to make a jail room or use for the walls at the stumps p

my friend is having a birthday party and i told her i would help her plan it out. We were thinking we could do a survivor theme but we have never seen the show! who knows what games we could do?

Answer
Survivor Party (outdoor event) Invitations: Using a computer program for making greeting cards, I chose the single fold (saves paper and you can make two invites on one sheet) I typed in "You're invited to , my daughter's name, (followed by a picture of the "CBS Survivor logo"), Party." On the inside (left) I asked each guest to "wear camouflage, or black, army green and khaki clothes, boots or good shoes. (But not required!)" You may not want to add that part yourself, I had children that had bought new outfits just for this one occasion. On the inside (right) I wrote: "Where will the tribes meet? At, my child's name, house." It was at an empty lot that has a wide trail made by our kids with a four wheeler. The trail looks almost like a wish bone that goes into three directions and the tall grass in the trails was mowed down). "When will the adventure take place? On , date of party." "The challenges will begin at 6:30 p.m." (I wanted it to be daylight long enough for the guest to get an idea of the terrain before they started the games). "The challenges will end around 8:30 or 9:00 p.m. following the tribal meeting." Decorations: I begged, borrowed, but I did not steal, most of the decorations. I got tikki torches, fish net, hammocks, a blue tarp, duck decoys, camo tarp, logs, etc...to make the setting as close to an island as possible. The blue tarp (the pond), was lei out in a small open area on one of the trails and we placed the duck decoys on it and named it Bay Island. The tikki torches were strategically placed to illuminate as much territory as possible without giving off too much light in one particular area. At the entrance of the North Trail (I labeled each direction), there was a tree house that had been in the process of removal. It was perfect...the broken pieces of wood resembled a shipwreck. I painted S.S. Skipper on the largest piece. Using my daughter's stuffed and plastic animals, I placed "wild or exotic" animals throughout the trees and grass. The camo tarp was tied up to four trees. My husband placed a large table under it for the food and gifts. We collected the largest logs we could find. They were placed around the campfire. Activities: I had the guest line up according to height. I separated them equally into to two tribes, which they named themselves, "The Discoverers" and "The Explorers." We started with a relay race. The tribes formed two separate lines. At the sound of the whistle the first two hoola hooped from the starting point (a line drawn with flour), and touched the camouflaged blanket, (blanket was folded in half long ways and tied to trees on each side of the trail), hoola hooped back for the next tribal member to get ready to start (they start when the other member goes under the blanket), and then had to run back and crawl under the blanket, (the blanket was used because I did not find the tunnels I wanted), next they jumped through tires (5 for each team... all 10 were borrowed from a tire store), and finishing when they walked across a balance beam. The first tribe to complete the course received immunity and a prize for each member. The immunity part was thrown in just for drama (lol), none of the tribal members were ever voted off the "island". The prizes were an assortment of survival needs, (ie: flashlights, binoculars, etc. most were purchased from the dollar store). Following the relay race...they liked it so much they did it twice. After, the tribes went to their first tribal meeting at the campfire. They ate hot dogs and talked about how much fun they were having! The scavenger hunt was the next activity. We removed the obstacles from the relay race while they were eating. I gave the instructions to play the game successfully. Each tribe had to find the object that was secretly coded in the clues. Each object had another clue that eventually led them to the "survival" treasure chest. I placed two of everything along the trails for the scavenger hunt so that both tribes had the same opportunity to get to the survival treasure chest first. One tribe went down one trail and the other went down the other trail. Each object was placed approximately the same distance from the other for both tribes. This activity took a while. Once the treasure chest was found we had our final tribal meeting. This included sitting around the campfire and eating cup cakes (frosted with an army green color) and my daughter opened her gifts. Favors: Each guest received arm bands made of camo material (ripped strips), and doo rags made of army green material when they arrived for the party, treat bags were filled with small gadgets, candy, etc. and given to the guests as they were leaving. This was a huge success...Good luck if you take the challenge to "Outwit" "Outlast" and "Outplay" the birthday party scene.

Birthday Party?

My oldest will be turning 8 the end of march and is in second grade. I'm looking for some creative / inexpensive birthday party ideas. Last year we did bowling, but because it was so expensive she could only invite a few kids from school, because all of her cousins were going also. So any ideas? She wants to invite about 20 children this year (i know they all don't come- and i know if i have too i can make her cut down the list) but think it would be fun to have a big birthday party with all of her friends and cousins but I'm a single mom and full-time student and don't have a big budget. Also any ideas for some creative- possibly make yourself birthday party invitations? Thanks in advance!
p.s How early do you send the invitation out? 2 weeks? And also, when I was in school we always took invitations and handed them out at school, but kids felt left out or parents never got them etc.. am i better off to send them to school w/ her or just send them in the mail to their homes

Answer
My daughter turned 9 this year and we usually have the big party with about 20 kids and when it's over not counting the cake and extra decor, gift and invitations & goodie bags it costs us about $200. This year I tried something totally different. I asked her to choose 5 girlfriends, with a little of my influence, and we had a slumber party. It was so much fun and we didn't have a single issue about someone not being invited blues. I printed up the invitations on the computer and glued them to some starry card stock I grabbed at the craft store. I even made pillow case envelopes with "no sew" and starry material, we only used 1/2 yard. There was no particular theme. When they got here we had a scavenger hunt in the neighborhood, I split them in 2 teams and had my mom help watch a group.
After that we had cake and opened presents. We even gave pedicures and manicures with colored polish that we already had and nail stickers from Wal-Mart. A girlfriend loaned us her kareoke machine and they sang to high school musical songs. To wind down the evening we popped popcorn and laid out our sleeping bags and prepared for a high school musical marathon. I also brought out huge candies like you purchase at the theatre that I bought at the dollar tree. In the morning they ate a pancake breakfast and I sent them home at 9:30 so that I could rest up without kids here all day.
With the exception of a dozen balloons and streamers we saved a ton of money. Oh yeah, their goody bags were pillow cases I bought at the factory outlet for $1 ea and they all signed them and colored with Sharpies, left over candy and Bella Sara card packs that cost 2.50 at a learning store. It was a complete success, they still talk about it almost 2 months later.
As for invites, you can't pass them out in class unless you invite the whole class, so we hand delivered them 2 weeks in advance. She loved taking them to the door and giving them to her friends.

I'm trying to think of birthday party ideas but cant seem to find one that will wow anyone.?

Allie

I want a party that is truly amazing and original. And by that I don't mean bowling or anything. Cool invitation ideas are also welcome! Thanks!

Answer
there is: American Idol Party

AMERICAN IDOL PARTY INVITATIONS
Send your invitations 2-3 weeks before your party.
Order matching invitations.
Or make your own 3x5 cards using bright blue or chartreuse card
stock paper, star stickers and gel pens.
"Are you the next American Idol?
Come to ______"s birthday party for your chance to perform!"
Then include the party details and encourage kids to come dressed to perform. Be sure you let the guests know that they can perform in groups, NOT perform at all ,or that lip syncing is optional.

AMERICAN IDOL PARTY DECORATIONS
Bright blue and silver will be your color scheme for this birthday party.
Include chartreuse or hot pink for extra color accents. Hang plenty of
silver stars (party store) from the ceiling using fishing line.
Add steamers, balloons, etc.
Create a stage by making a backdrop on the wall with white butcher
paper or a white sheet. Write American Idol on the paper.
Outline the edges of the paper with streamers and white Christmas lights
and hang more stars. You may also want to decorate a "Judges Table" that can then be used for the cake and ice cream later.

Items you may need for and American Idol party:
Karaoke Machine and Karaoke CD's
CD player
Camera
Paper, markers and string for contestant numbers
Adults or older teens to be the judges
Make-up and dress-up items
Trophies or badges
Optional art supplies

THE NEXT AMERICAN IDOL CONTEST
Remembering that this is a birthday party after all, we suggest that you coordinate your American Idol competition in a positive non-threatening manner. Before the party, use your computer to make
certificates designated for winners in different categories.
Best stage presence, great vocals, super choreography, awesome costume,
funniest act etc. Allow the kids to work in duets or groups to accommodate the shy performers. Lip syncing should be allowed.
Designate three adults to be the judges.

When the kids arrive, give them a contestant number and a
"star make-over". Provide fun accessories; feather boas, hats, sunglasses, jewelry, shoes etc. If the performers haven't prepared and act before the party, allow them to look over the Karaoke CD's and establish if they are performing in duets etc. Then let them work together to create some fun choreography and practice if possible. Consider hiring a dance instructor
to teach some cool steps.

Once everyone is prepared, the show begins. Everyone will take their
turns and then the winners will be announced - all with plenty of applause
of course! Present the certificates.

Variations
1. One reader planned her American Idol with a comical flair.
The kids were told to have fun, be goofy, off key, awkward etc.
"Everyone participated. Once the kids knew this was not serious
they completely relaxed and had a great time!" Kids were awarded
Wildest Costume
Flattest Notes
Funniest
Rudest
Loudest

2.You don't even need to have a contest...
Set up the stage. Let the kids get dressed up and enjoy singing
along with the Karaoke machine and creating fun choreography
to their favorite songs.

PARTY TIPS:
1. Be sure you are completely familiar with the electrical equipment
so that the kids don't have to wait around.
2. If guests choose not to perform, they can help with costumes,
stage help etc. Everyone has a special gift!
3. Do not let kids be judges. Even the nicest children can
unintentionally hurt someone's feelings.
4. Ask an adult helper to video the performances or at least take
plenty of pictures.

ADDITIONAL BIRTHDAY PARTY ACTIVITIES
Obviously, the focus of this party will be the singing, dancing etc.
However, you may want to plan a few additional activities especially
for the the guests who are too shy to perform.

American Idol Piñata
After the contest is complete play this traditional party game.
Fill an American Idol Microphone piñata or a star piñata with candy, tattoos and glow items for extra fun!

Memorabilia
Provide each guest with a clean white t-shirt or cap.
The kids can then decorate t-shirts or caps with multi-colored permanent markers. Encourage the kids to use the markers to autograph each other's
shirts or caps.
Variation - Decorate the shirts before the party with fabric pens and paint. Make stars, dots etc. including the party guests name. The kids can wear their new shirts after the competition, while autographing each others
shirts using the permanent markers.

Watch a Show
Record an episode of American Idol and have the kids watch
it together at the end of the party.

Let's Sing
If the kids are all interested, allow then to continue singing to the
Karaoke machine after the cake, ice-cream and presents.

AMERICAN IDOL BIRTHDAY CAKE

Microphone Cake
Although we haven't tried this design yet...
Use a round cake and a sheet cake to make microphone.
Cut the a narrow piece from the sheet cake to create the
microphone handle. Frost the round cake with white frosting and sprinkle blue colored sugar over the top. Frost the handle with chocolate frosting. Add a piece of black licorice whip to the end of the handle to make a remote microphone chord. It's possible that you could also experiment with this same concept to make individual microphone cupcakes. Using a Wilton
small sphere cake mold and smaller cut pieces of sheet cake.
Give it a try and have fun. If you make this cake we would love to
share the picture!
TIP: Freeze your sheet cake/s before cutting into pieces.
Using pound cake will make this job even easier.

Easy Idea
Don't have time to decorate a cake?
Simply frost cupcakes with bright blue frosting and insert
a star shaped cupcake pick.

Bachelor party ideas?

yaya

My buddy just got engaged. Extremly happy about this, great girl. I'm in the wedding party, so we're looking for bachelor party ideas. His fiance won't care about strippers. Just looking for more ideas then the classic bar and strip club. Also are joint bachelor/bachelorette parties good ideas?

Answer
* Poker Night: Themed accessories can create an entire poker party venue, and watching poker championships while playing with friends can be a great way to relax at home.
* Casino Trip: Traveling to a casino can be a long bachelor party weekend including different gambling activities, good food, and other entertainment.
* Sporting Events: A sky-box or suite is a great location for a sports-themed bachelor party, complete with catered food, excellent views, and other spectacular service.
* Movie Night: Guy-favorites such as the Matrix, Die Hard, and other action movies can be the focal point of a cinematic bachelor party, including nachos, pizza, and other movie snacks.
* Home-care Party: While it may not seem like much fun, gathering all the groomsmen together to help with lawn care, washing the car, and doing minor home repairs can not only be an
opportunity for horseplay and casual fun, but itâs a great help to the groom-to-be to have these chores taken care of before the wedding.
* Sportsmen Event: Whether itâs a day of fishing on a nearby lake or hunting in the back-country, enjoying sportsmen activities together is a great way for the male members of the wedding party and close friends to bond before the big day.
* Playing Sports: A touch-football game, round of golf, pool tournament, paintball challenge, or day at a baseball training camp can help work off nervous energy and enjoy good friends for the soon-to-be non-bachelor.
* Food Party: A beer-and-bratwurst party, chili cook-off, or ultimate barbecue feast is a great way to indulge in delicious food and celebrate the groom-to-be with his favorite foods

5 year old birthday party, parent attendance optional?

Renmarie

My son is invited to a birthday party for a friend at school, it will be held at the science center. I know the child's mother as we attend zumba class together after school but I don't know her very well personally. the invitation says that you can attend with your for an entrance fee or drop them off, she reiterated that message on the phone as wel. The party is from noon to 2. Obviously 5 is a young age and I dont know how many chaperones there will be, the party is comfined to one room/ area. This is our first school friends birthday party so I dont know if it's kosher to just drop him off. Insight and experience would be helpful. Thanks.
Forgive grammar and spelling from my smart phone.

Answer
You should go with your son. You don't know what will happen there. You can sit with your son's friends mother if you got bored. The most important thing is that you shouldn't let him go alone!

Answer
A quick, easy, and fun way to create your birthday invitations is to go to CropMom.com at http://www.cropmom.com. Cropmom is a online digital scrapbooking, collage, card making site.

Upload your photos. Make your invitation using them. You can add your own text. There are thousands of graphics to choose from to create your invitation. The site has templates and kits organized by theme or you can mix and match or be as creative as you want.

Then save it. Go to My CropMom and click on the layout. Then click the "share" link. It'll let you enter the email address of the recipient, and your screen-quality invitation will be sent via email for free.

For print-quality, you can purchase a JPEG file of your creation (it doesn't cost much) and download it to your computer.

From here, you can either print your invitations at home. Or -have them printed by Shutterfly or Snapfish or Costco, etc.

Movie party at home. Have a movie themed party. They sell decorations for this at oriental trading. com and you can also find some movie stuff on the hollywood sites I mentioned above. Watch a cool movie, have popcorn and all kids of candy and junk food. Make or buy pizza and have sundaes. Have a sleep over with the girls if you want. Have a dance if your have room.

Twister. Hawaii games: http://www.alohafriendsluau.com/games.html.

Candy theme: Pink tablecloths, pink and white balloons. Make candy bouquets for the tables with short wide mouth vase from the dollar store. Fill 1/3 with peppermint disks. Buy colorful lollipops and put in the vase. Make another one t he same but use candy sticks instead like cherry, lime, etc. You can attach bows to each one with a favor card that says your initial, 16 or thanks for coming to my sweet 16 and then after the party give them out as favors. Get personalized M and Ms to put in small favor bags. Get personalized hershey bar wrappers and little personalized stickers that go on the bottom of hershey's kisses or even hard candy. Buy plate size styrofoam 3 inch thick rounds and wrap in clear cellophane for a big hard candy decorations. you could put a wood dowel in one to make it a sucker. Play twister. For favors those candy necklaces, bracelets ands ring pops and candy lipsticks. They sell inflatable lollipops at Windy City Novelities. Buy a sweet 16 plastic sucker mold. We got 1 for 2.50 on Ebay. We bought 3 bags of colored chocolate at the craft store and 1.50 each and made 27 lolliopops out of that. A bag of 100 lolly bags and ties is 1.99. It was so easy to make. Shindigz sells personalized clear candy jars. Also have cotton candy. Decorate with pink and white tissue balls. Also party cheap sells a sundae tissue decoration.
Sweet games: One game is you melt small pieces of chocolate into small bowls and then you blindfold people one at a time and have them taste and they have to guess what kind of candybar it is. Then have a candy prize for the winner, like a little candy gift basket.

Fill a jar with some type of small candies, maybe personalized M and Ms with a 16 on them or your initials. Have people guess how many and again have a prize for the winner.

Play bingo using Candy hearts as bingo chips.

Twister is a colorful game that goes with candy theme.

Fill a pinata full of popular candy. Sour stuff seems to be in.

You could do a Willie Wonka like contest. Buy these personalized candy bar wrappers and put a few golden tickets inside when you assemble them. Then, hand them out at the party for an activity and have some small door prize for the winners. http://www.4funparties.com/app/index.php...

Neon theme. Bright colors, neon lights and glow in the dark items. They sell lights that go in balloons and all kinds of neon and glow in the dark items at windy city novelitis, oriental trading and U.S. Toy Company. Shop.glogames.com. Glowsource.com

For any theme you choose check out scene setters: www.fun4parties.com.
These are huge plastic murals ke your theme looks so real. We have used these and love them and so cheap. You buy backgrounds and can add things to them.

Party decorations:
shindigz, oriental trading, U.S. Toy Company, partycheap, and many, many more.

Have a Hills party like the MTV show. Decorate with Hollywood backgrounds from fun4parties.com. Tell the girls on the invite to wear Hills type dresses and guys preppy style: give the girls rockstar sunglasses like they wear on the hills from windycity novelities. Have a fashion show. Get stores to donate a few items, have your friends model.
80's prom theme: This would be so cool. Decorate like it is a high school prom from the 80s and everyone has to dress from that time.

The Beatles toddler birthday theme ideas?

Q. We are huge Beatles fan and our son loves them too. He runs to the laptop when we play YouTube videos. Any ideas on decorations and food? Goodie bags? Thanks!!!

Answer
Hi :)
For Beatles party invitations, buy Beatles postcards or draw a yellow submarine on the front of a plain white card. On the inside, write, "Help! us Celebrate [name's] Birthday!" Include all necessary information including time, date, and how to RSVP.
The birthday cake could be a large square chocolate cake with "Beatles" spelled out in colored frosting flowers in order to make a Sgt. Pepper's Cake (it should look like the flower "bed" at the bottom of the album cover).
For food, serve a large submarine sandwich on platters decorated with "yellow submarine" written in script with yellow mustard.
Place "record bowls" on your table. Make them out of old record albums and clean and fill with chips and other side snacks.
Make a "strawberry field" by lining up strawberries on a platter.
Play Beatles music in the background of your party. When the cake is brought out, be sure to play the song "Birthday" from the White Album.
If possible, set up the Beatles Rock Band for Wii, Playstation 3 or XBox 360. Allow guests to play the game during the party and offer prizes for the best scores.
Decorate tables and counters with Beatles albums, CDs, and pictures. Decorate walls with posters of the Beatles, peace signs and British flags.
Give peace necklaces, Beatles buttons and smiley face items for favors; use 60s print bags and tie dye tissue to hold favors.
Stage an "Abbey Road" scene for pictures; use the album cover to create a street scene out of paper. Photograph guests imitating the Beatles on the album cover.

Hope this helped,

Ade :)

Neon/Bright attire encouraged--let's light up the night!
Best and brightest costume wins! (whatever goofy prize you want to do--could be like a $10 gift card, or a movie ticket, or something like that--doesn't have to be big, it could even be something like a gag gift of a box of neon markers or a box of lightbulbs. you don't have to tell them what they will win until you do the drawing, and have eevryone vote on the coolest costume and place the vote in a bucket or something.)

That would be my suggestion--hope that helps!! And happy birthday to you! Only a couple days after mine, you fellow Scorpio!!

Answer
Have a hawaiian style birthday party.

Invite about 20+ friends (i invited 30 and it was awesome) My invitations were like messages in a bottle (you can make them yourself or buy them from the site that will be listed below)

You should buy about two or three dozen leis (flower necklaces) and funny sunglasses. Have them there for when guests arrive. Take a group picture at the beginning.

I also bought a banner that you put your faces into take pictures and it was a hit! [most of this stuff can be bought from www.orientaltrading.com]

For drinks, you should have your mom or sibling make virgin blended drinks if you can find a good recipe (we made pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris). For food, you could get assorted fruits and make fruit-kabobs and also have some snacky things like chips. And of course, your cake, which could be any hawaiian design.

I had a dance floor made with a big tarp which i put sand on to make it seem like a beach and i had new music and a few hawaiian songs mixed in. So for entertainment I had dancing and also a little bit of a limbo contest. :)

I dont know if you have thte oppurtunity but this is optional. a firedancer, they juggle and dance with fire, it was very entertaining and the guests loved it.

by the way, it was for my fourteenth birthday and i had the party near a beach at a house with a big back lawn with a fire pit (make sure there is a fire pit for roasting marshmallows during the party too!)

some other locations you could have this at would be at a campground, or even in your back yard if you fancy it up enough! :)

well i hope you like this idea, it was very fun for me and my friends.

Bachelorette Party Ideas?

Q. I'm supposed to help plan a St. Louis bachelorette party which is four weeks away and I've never even been to one before. I need help brainstorming! And don't say male strippers please...

Thanks in advance!

Answer
Hi,

A Spa Party
This beloved theme is perfect for a bachelorette party. It can be as extravagant as going to a resort for a pampering weekend, and as simple as gathering at someone's house to paint each other's nails and eat delicious food. In order to make it feel like a proper bachelorette party, you may wish to ask guests to bring a funny story about the bride or groom, or you may want to incorporate games such as pin the cucumber on the groom.

Girls Weekend Away
Once you're married, it might be hard to get away for a weekend with the girls. Use the bachelorette party as an excuse to go on a weekend vacation â either close by or far away. Such a trip will give you time for "being wild" as well as time to catch up with each other and have spa time. Be sure to keep in mind that not all of the bridesmaids may be able to afford an extravagant vacation, so it might be a good idea to survey intended guests before making a final decision. Also, check with a travel agent to see what kind of group rates you can get.

Retail Therapy by Limousine
Rent a limo for the day, stock it with a good bottle of champagne, and pick up all the girls for a fun day of boutique shopping. Your bride-to-be will feel like a star popping in and out of her favorite shops while taking breaks in a stretch limo. Arrange to end the day with foot-pampering pedicures. Or, if you're looking for a more wild time, a limousine is perfect for taking everyone out to the clubs for the night. It will likely be cheaper than taking cabs, and will ensure no one is drinking and driving.

It's in the Stars
Every soon-to-be-bride is thinking about her future, so why not turn this into a bachelorette party theme by hiring an astrologer, fortune teller, or tarot card reader to come to your house. Arrange for each party guest to get a short reading, with a longer featured reading for the bride-to-be. This bachelorette party idea is a great one for decorating â use your imagination to turn your living room into a fortune teller's parlor, complete with mood lighting, drapes of fabric, and wonderful scents.

Sports Themed Bachelorette Party
If you've got an athletic bride, don't try to force her into drinking girly drinks and wearing a veil. Instead, take everyone out to see a minor-league ball team, or arrange a tournament of the bride's favorite sport. Get everyone to go camping, or arrange a long bike ride to a park, where the less-athletic guests can meet you for a picnic.

I hope this helped! Best of luck and congrats to the bride!

Birthday Party Ideas?

Tashaa

Im turning 15 in the start February and trying to think of ideas fir a party. It will probably be all girls and somewhere around 10 of us and please nothing really expensive. Any ideas?
thank you soo much for all the ideas. wow you guys have alot of them :P just some extra things, i live in southern canada so winters can be cold and snowy. i have already done mall scavenger hunts. but again these ideas are great so far!! thankyou for your help

Answer
Depends really on location and what you like to do.

You could go camping if you like to camp, or you could rent a cabin in the woods. Another option is to stay at a hotel for a night, if that's not too off your price range. There's always the traditional stay-at-home sleepover and you could have activities that you did when you were younger, like pin the tail on the donkey and such.

If that's too boring you could rent a limo and get the driver to take you somewhere like the mall, then drive you back home for a sleepover.

Here's some more:
-Rent a pool for an hour
-Have a themed party (Hollywood, Survivor, etc.)
-Go to a restaurant
-Hawaiian Luau (Don't forget the grass skirts!)
-Spa party + sleepover

Have a good birthday!
