I need answers fast because my birthday has past and I want my party to be in early may. I really want to have it somewhere other than my house, but I'm not sure how to ask my mom. Also any cool party themes?

Answer
my favorite idea that ive never tried but want to really badly, is a bonfire. invite all your friends or just your closest ones and have a big bonfire on the beach at night. you can make smores, play music, dance, set off mini fireworks, talk, and all sorts of other fun stuff, even just get drunk if thats what your in to haha and maybe you could even ask if you could camp out on the beach, thatd be nice. and the best part is it would cost practically nothing!

help with mine?

What should we do for her birthday?

Forever Br

I am planning her party, she is turning 12 but fairly mature for her age. She can only spend about 100 doors total because she has to pay for it on her own, she is really exited because she has never had a birthday party before. She lives in a trailor so not a ton of people if the party is at her house. It is about a month and I just need a theme and stuff to do. Oh and as a aide note she tjought a campout party would be kinda fun. Thanks in advance and take care ;)

Answer
Themed Slumber Party
Have a themed slumber party geared towards the child's and his friends' interests. For example, have a makeover party for girls where they all dress in their favorite clothes and bring fun nail polishes and hair products. Take a group of boys to a scary movie and then let them camp out in the backyard and tell ghost stories. For a mixed gender party, choose a theme based on a color that the guests must wear and then serve food and provide decorations in that color.

Movie Party
Some towns have local movie theater that allow guests to rent out a small theater for private parties and show a movie of their choice. Rent a theater and show the favorite movie of the birthday person. Twelve-year-olds love watching movies in a theater where they can talk as loudly as they want. This option can be somewhat pricey, depending on the theater--taking the kids to a normal movie or watching movies at home are great lower-cost alternatives.

Rent a Space
Rent a local swimming pool, bowling alley or ice skating or roller skating rink for a few hours for large parties. The kids will love having a space just to themselves and family members. Many of these entertainment spots have private party rooms to eat birthday cake and open presents, which are available at a lower price. Parents of the birthday child don't have to worry about cleaning up too much, and while the kids play, the adults have time to chat with each other.

Hotel Party
Take the birthday kid and two or three closest friends to a hotel for the night. It does not have to be the most expensive hotel in town--the kids will still enjoy swimming in the hotel pool, staying up late, renting movies and ordering a room service dessert.

I am looking for unique first birthday ideas. My son is turning one in September, and since it will be mostly?

Melissa Yo

I am looking for unique first birthday ideas. My son is turning one in September, and since it will be mostly adult friends at the party, i am looking for something that is not cutesy and cheesy! Any ideas or ideas of places to look for crafty ideas? thanks.

Answer
What about a camp theme? It isn't too cutesy, and there are lots of fun ways to make it perfect for adults.

The color scheme is easy - green and brown for the woods. There are some new camping theme paper goods available as well - http://www.birthdayexpress.com/browse/_/N-i/Ntt-camp/results1.aspx?AID=10645522&PID=1151654

Serve "camp food", hot dogs, kool aid, granola/trail mix, smores (yum!) and popcorn.

Lanterns and small branches from trees in vases are fun decorations. Wildflowers are great too. Set out any forest themed stuffed animal you have...bears, owls, foxes. Throw a few pinecones around for good measure. Set up one of those fake flame torches (sold usually for Halloween) on the buffet and surround it with wood for a fake fire!

Have a fire if you can (September should be perfect weather for it).

Play good camp music. Almost anything by Bob Denver is great. Or get an audio recording of ghost stories!

Have a camping theme movie playing on the tv - Ernest Goes to Camp, Daddy Day Camp, The Great Outdoors, Meatballs are a few to choose from

Have everyone leave messages for your son to read when he is older by signing something with a camp theme... a canoe paddle, a camp t-shirt, a duffle bag.

Party favors are easy - inexpensive items like whistles, compasses, travel sized bug sprays or sunscreen, flashlights. They work for the theme and are useful too!

We have a Bar/Bat Mitzvah Camp theme party. You'll have to adapt some of the ideas but it has more decoration and favor ideas in it.http://www.party411.com/PlanYourParty/Occasion/BarBatMitzvah/LetsgotoCamp.aspx

We have several more kid's birthday themes here if you'd rather do something different, adults would probably enjoy bowling, circus, outerspace and cowboy too

What's a polite and nice way to tell friends that they have to pay for their own dinner at my bday dinner?

I'm having a combined birthday party/dinner with a friend and we are inviting about 6 people. What is a polit/nice/friendly way to tell them that they will be paying for their own dinner?

Thank you!

Answer
There IS NO polite way to be rude.

The FIRST "Rule" of Invitations is that those who DO the inviting are the ones who PAY for whatever costs their GUESTS incur. IF you CANNOT cover the dinners of the 6 people, then the party must be canceled.

If you received an invitation to a wedding, how would you feel if the bridal couple included the phrase, "Please pay $26.95 at the door to cover the costs of the meal, venue, and entertainment"?

Sorry, but that is simply the way things go. If you try to do otherwise you run the risk of insulting your "friends" and losing them as "friends."

Have a polite day.

I am looking for a cute/creative rhyme for my son's invitation. The party is going to be at a place called the Bounce House (6-7 large blowup bouncing machines). It is on Sept. 29th from 10-12. We will have lunch and cake/ice cream. I have not picked a theme for the party but the invitation itself will be one of the bouncing machines. Any help would be appreciated!!!

my 10 year old sister is having a birthday party and its ganna be held at our house. shes inviting like 7-10 of her girl friends and i was ganna do their hair and makeup..but i mean, what else should we do? pictures? ideas?

Answer
This is just a cute quick idea for anybody probably ages 10-teen The night before you are hosting your party go to the supermarket and buy a bunch of icecream and a bunch of toppings.INVITATIONS- Anything colorful and creative:You probably want to involve something with icecream on the invite. If the kids are younger you might want to tell them to bring old clothing. Before the party fill a spacious room with 2-3 tables and you put disposable table cloths onto each table.Depending on how many kids there are that is how many tables you will need. On each table put any size pan but all the pans should be the same size. On each table put 2-3 tubs of any flavor ice cream the kids enjoy. Put the same amount and the same kinds of icecream toppings on the table and appliances (like spoons plastic or not)When the kids arrive (at about five) dont let them in that particular room yet because you will want to keep it a surprise for the other kids or your kid if it is a surprise. Have everyone gather into a different room than the one with the tables and just let them hang out until 5:15. After that if you have a pool let them swim for about an hour.(until 6:20) and then have them come in for dinner (pizza or anything you want it depends on how everyone likes food or what kinds of food they like)After dinner it will probably be about 6:45-6:50 and gather the kids into the room with the tables and split them into 2-3 teams depending on how many kids are coming. Tell them they have a certain amount of time to make an ice cream cake(I'D SAY ABOUT 45 MINUTES)at the end of those 45 minutes everyone will vote for which cake is more good looking and that will be the cake they have for the persons birthday. When thats done at about 7:50 let the kids get dressed again and take them outside at eight where there will be music and a bar with drinks like soda and lemonade whatever the kids like and snacks if you want you can make up fake money for the kids to purchase that kind of stuff. Dance the night away until about eleven go inside and open your gifts and at eleven thirty change back into your bathing suit and go for a late night swim until 12:45 settle into a jacuzzi or go inside. When your inside change into your pjs. set up your sleeping bags pop in a movie and make popcorn and have a tiny piece of the other cake.play truth or dare or paint nails or do facials until everyone falls asleep. The first one to fall asleep will have a bunch of practical jokes played on them. In the morning have a breakfast buffet and you could swim again too. Give each girl a body lotion and lipgloss. Have their parents come at 12p.m.

What are the best games to play at slumber parties?

Kodiakk

My 8 yo son is having a camping party in the backyard .Ages are 7-9 years old about 10-14 kids any ideas for some fun safe games?

Answer
Something really fun would be to set up a scavenger hunt for the kids. hide items or describe things that can be found in your backyard (something tiny that crawls... something green and alive) anything like that and the first team to collect them all gets like icecream first or something. another fun game would be to have a water balloon fight or water gun fight.. it is summer so anything water is awesome haha. Capture the flag is a fun game too. Have two teams divide the yard in half and have kids have a flag area and a jail area. They run across trying to snatch the opposing teams flag and if they are tagged they go to jail. The kids can be freed from jail if someone from their team comes to get them or if they escape without the jail guards catching them. Kinda chaotic but fun..

There are a ton of fun ideas on this website..

I like the water games best!

I am 11 and I want to have a webkinz slumber party where you bring your webkinz stuffed animal and do webkinz games, . But more like a birthday kind of slumber party and something 11 yr. old girls would like to do. Also birthday party invitations i will need.

Answer
decorate with bright colors (bright colors of the rainbow) and throw in lots of balloons and streamers. have everyone bring one of their webkinz. you can get a little box and fill it with misc. dress up items (boas, crowns, dresses, capes, masks, makeup) and play webkinz supermodelz. you can provide a body mirror so everyone can check out their outfits. get 3 people to be judges and tell them to act like webkinz characters (tabby von meow, dr.quack, that new crafty koala.). let them judge the outfits and score them. winners could get something like a pack of trading cards, a webkinz, a lil' kinz, a charm bracelet and one charm, or a virtual prize like say you will send them a prize package that includes: a ice theme bed, a candy heart chair, and the black cat food. you could also make a wheel of wow or a wheel of wow box where you just pick out a slip of paper with a prize from the box (again you could give a virtual prize or a real prize). another prize system would be just to have a bunch of webkinz games home made for your party ( chef challange you could get velcro strips on the backs of little squares with pictures of webkinz foods and see who gets the recipie right) and what not. give 10 kinzcash for each game won, and whoever has the most kinzcash at the end gets the ultimate prize of a brand new webkinz stuffed animal! i have soo many more ideas so if you want to talk just email me jigglyfruitcake8@yahoo.com!

how should i word a masquerade ball invitation?

i'm having a masquerade ball for my 21st
and i'm unsure as to how to word the invitation. i thought i'd start with a quote about a masked ball and then go on to listing the date, time, venue, etc. i'd like it to sound formal, but not over the top.
and i'd like the guests to bring gifts for a charity organisation instead of for me... any suggestions on how to put this in writing without sounding too official?

Answer
Just list the masquerade ball as the theme for your party.
Any mention of gifts on any invitation is against proper etiquette. In fact it is downright rude and low class.
Happy Birthday and have fun!

What are your best tips/meals for cooking while camping?

cupajoe

My family has gone camping once (2yrs ago) and it was fun, but I found that I was not nearly organized as I thought I would be when it came to cooking meals. We tried packing lunches when we were out and about sightseeing and such, but everyone was so sick of cold cuts/sandwiches and chips...Dinners were a nightmare and breakfast a pain. We are taking another trip this summer and again we plan to camp. I hope to be better prepared this time around. Do you have any tips or meal/snack ideas for me? Thanks.

Answer
Great camp meals are one of the big items folks remember and it takes one with a heart of service and a desire to do all the planning and prep to make it happen your asking here shows you have that gift.

To start the more you can prep at home the easier it is to put a meal together in the field. Any meats you bring always taste better when marinated and that's something you can start the process at home specially for the first dinner where fresh is best.

Another big point is the less pots and pans you use the less dishes the more time you have to enjoy and no one likes KP duty on a camp out. So think of meals you can cook by using a camp fire and tin foil. Use quality thick tin foil and paper cups and quality plastic forks spoons knives. Have plenty of paper towels on hand.

Freeze everything ahead of time so food lasts longer in the cooler those marinated steaks can be frozen after they have been marinated for an hour or two and then you can have steak another day out. And your ice will last longer too.

Drinks are important because dehydration is always an issue and you actually stay warmer at night when you have been well hydrated. Sodas fill you up with empty calories and gas with out fully satisfying your thirst. So make sun tea and lemonade, Adults can have some wine with their meal, if you partake it helps to unwind in moderation, but drinking it in a paper cup is not so romantic so get the plastic wine glasses and bring some of those little umbrellas with a cherry too add to the cup to liven up the gathering, kids can have one in the tea or lemonade and still be entertained.

Theme parties for each dinner starts the fun and if you plan ahead and your group is informed ahead of time they can bring outfits or a funny hat that adds to the fun, of course Luau's are a common theme for camping as are cowboy and others be creative and have the kids do a skit for the dinner gathering. A real fun theme to do for a camp out is a murder mystery dinner!

Birthday Party Letter Regarding The FLU?

80th birthday party invitations wording image

BLB

I'd like to send a letter to everyone invited that's coming to my son's 2nd birthday party this coming weekend regarding the flu. I'd like to ask them to use their best judgement in deciding to come if they aren't feeling well since there will be 2 seniors over 80 years old and maybe 5 babies under the age of 1. How do I write this letter without coming across like I don't want anyone coming, or coming across as a crazy mom?? I've tried writing it a few times and just can't get the appropriate wording. Is this even okay to write and send everyone?!!!?? You'd think people would stay home if they're sick but obviously it's not the case with this huge flu epidemic. I want to see all our family and friends... some of whom are traveling over an hour, but don't want to risk getting this flu in our house. we're expecting 25 kids and 36 adults btw. Anyone want to help me? Thanks!

Answer
My opinion is that its probably not something that you should put in the invitation. Im a crazy mom when it comes to that stuff (my little 1 has caught everything) so i know how you feel. I think you have 2 options. A. make it a small party this year - just family (you can be honest with them) B. Invite everyone you want to and when they rsvp maybe mention the whole "flu epidemic" thing and that way your letting them know how concerned you are about it. They may choose to stay home if they are not feeling well. OR invite everyone and once it gets close to the party send out an email saying"We look forward to seeing you on _____. Although we would love for all of you to be there due to the flu outbreak we ask that if you are not feeling well please do not feel obligated to come. we will not be offended by your absence and hope you get well"

any suggestions?

Answer
Hey Kevin,

For something like Winnie the Pooh, I would check at Toy's R Us (Couldn't do the R backwards LOL!), or the actual Disney Store if you have one. Check Hallmark stores and party supply stores. I have seen them out there before.

Could be a trademark thing? In that case, your best bet would be the Disney store or online if you don't have one.

Good luck!

SuzyQzy

I get bored with the whole: movie, truth or dare, gossip, do eachothers hair and makeup standard sleepover thing. I need some new, creative ideas to make my next slumber party really fun! Help?

Answer
Have a theme. Here are some ideas:

Scary:
-Bust out a Ouija board and ask it questions.
-Have a seance (if you're not too scared)
-Camp in a cemetery or just in the middle of the woods.
-Watch horror movies.
-Tell ghost stories
-Read tarot cards and palms

Aquatic (I did this with my friends once)
-Buy a cheap inflatable raft or inflatable pool and put it in an in ground pool (if you have one)
-Sleep on the raft for the night. Put some blankets and pillows in the inflatable pool and its like a water bed!
-Watch the stars

Board Games:
-they can be wicked intense if everyone gets into them. theres the classics like Sorry and Monopoly that ll get everyone pumped up but find some obscure ones to make it really exciting.

Cooking:
-try cooking crazy exotic foods with your friends into the early hours of the morning
-don't just do cake and brownies and that boring stuff. try spicy indian foods or maybe crickets and cockroaches. don't be afraid to try something new.
-make up your own recipes!

ORR

maybe you just need a different setting. camp in the woods or at the beach or on a mountain.

GOOD LUCK!

What do you do for a slumber party?

Claire

I'm having a slumber party for my birthday and I have no clue what to do. I have thought of a few things but not good ones, like waterballon fights.
sorry i said this late but the ages are 8 to 10

Answer
well...the previous sleeping bag rolling down the stairs answer seems a bit dangerous, in my opinion, but when I was younger I use to get some movies, and some girly things like nail polish and hair accessories. I wouldnt advice boardgames...but waterballoon fighting is an excellent idea!! also, if the weather is nice enough you could put a tent up in the backyard and camp out there, it always feels so much cooler cuz your parents are in the next room. lol. Good luck with your slumber party and happy birthday!

How could I incorporate a baby Mickey theme into my child's 1st birthday?

I have a baby Mickey cake, balloons and paper goods, invitations and thank you cards. However, I'm trying to come up with a clever and fun way to incorporate the theme a little more into the party. There won't be too many children at the party (mostly adult family members) but I'm looking for ideas such as naming foods in a Mickey Theme (like "Mickey's Mac 'n Cheese") or other ways to incorporate the theme. Ideas?

I'll be having my debut 3 years from now. My mom wants to organize as early as possible. I want a harry potter theme for my debut since I am an avid fan. can you give me some ideas to execute my debut party? thanks

Answer
I think that's a really great idea! You can try the Yule Ball type shown in the third Harry Potter movie. I think it's very appropriate since it's a debut. But if you want it to be real Harry Potter style, you can have the venue decorated like your favorite part of Hogwarts. You can wear a robe like Hermione. As for your guests, you can include in your invitation that they wear robes like in the movie Harry Potter.
Yet, I still suggest the Yule Ball type more since a debut is more appropriate with gowns and evening wear. It's still up to you anyway. I hope you make up your mind and I hope I was able to help. Advance Happy 18th Birthday to you! :)

How should I handle this double birthday party?

birthday party invitations children

birthday party invitations children image
Q. My child was invited to a birthday party for siblings a couple years apart in age. The invitation has both children's names. My child barely knows one of them. Do you still buy a gift for both or only the one who is the same age as my child?

Answer
I think it's cruddy that the parent is doing a joint birthday party and has invited you to "both". The parent is spending half the money (one party instead of two) and suggesting that you spend twice the money for two gifts rather than one. That's crass and I'm ashamed for that parent.

If I were in the situation, I'd do one of two things. First, skip the party and have your kid give the friend a gift next time he/she sees them (school or playtime or whatever). OR, go to the party with a gift for your kid's friend and a card for the friend's sibling. If you feel you need to have a gift for the other kid, don't spend more than a dollar or two... a jump-rope or matchbox car or something along those lines.

Or you could REALLY make a point and put both kids' names on one present.

What type of photo editing software do I need to make photo invitations?

D_DLR

I'm needing invitations for my children's birthday party. Problem is that it's 2 different characters (X-Men Wolverine & Princess Theme) and I can't find a company that will do it for me. And I really don't want to send 2 invitations for 1 party.

Answer
I think Wonder Photo Studio may be your help. I often use it to create greeting card, invitation card, poster and many other things . This software is powerful and easy to handle. With Wonder Photo Studio, you can quickly and easily make beautiful photo collages complete with resources such as layouts, templates, photo frames, special mask effects, rich cliparts and word arts. The created collages can be saved, printed, directly sent via E-mail and even saved as wallpapers.

Mika.Deser

This is random but it seems like every question that has any kind of picture or link gets automatically deleted. I've been trying to ask a question and it requires posting links to pictures but it doesn't seem like links are allowed. Am I wrong or whats up with that?

Answer
Click on the ABOUT tab. Click on Community Guidelines. They are quite extensive. Here is just part of what Yahoo says about what constitutes chatting.>>

Yahoo! Answers is a question-and-answer community of people sharing knowledge. We provide a couple of different ways for members to connect with one another, including email, instant message, and a comments area, so chatting in questions and answers is not allowed. When people use Answers to chat with each other, it lowers the quality of the site and inhibits knowledge-sharing.

Yahoo! Answers is not meant to be about gaming or playing a game, it is about sharing knowledge with other Yahoo! users across the world and, for this reason, questions involving gaming are not allowed.

Here are a few examples of what we consider chatting:

How (are you, old are you, was your day, is everyone today)?
What are you/What am I (doing, thinking of, wearing, etc.)?
Guess my/Can you guess my/What's your (name, age, sex, weight, birthday, location, etc.)?
Who is fromâ¦/Who plays â¦here/Who wants to chat
Do you like my (avatar, web site, poem, etc.)?*
Who wants to celebrate my birthday, drivers license, first 100 points, level 7?
Where is user (nickname) gone?
Avatar games and games of any nature

We also consider questions that call out other users by name to be chatting. If the intent is to ask a follow-up question in response to someone elseâs question and that person is not available via email or IM, post a new question thatâs open to everyone in the community to answer â there might be someone else whoâs better equipped to answer it.

* Please note that exceptions to this rule would have to satisfy two criteria: The question would have to be 1) advice-seeking and 2) knowledge-worthy. For example, it would be OK to ask, "How can I improve my poem?" or "How do I make my avatar look more attractive?"
_____________________________________

Without knowing the exact wording or the Q that got dinged, I can't say 100% either way, but if you posted a question that said, "What do you think of my hairdo?" or "Do you like my hair cut?" these are considered invitations to chat, not seeking knowledge of any value and only seeking an opinion for your own use. If your question was, "What way could I style my hair for a fancy party?" " or "What is the latest fashion for hair colouring this time of year?" those questions are not violations because you are seeking knowledge.

Also, when you receive a violation, posting about it can be a violation in itself. Word it very carefully. For example, "Who reported me?" is an invitation to chat, to gossip, but "Could anyone tell me why questions might get deleted?" is okay because it is seeking knowledge. This question you're asking now is legit because you are seeking knowledge.

The links are also a potential red flag for spam, solicitation, and may lead to a shock website such as pornography. You should tell members what is in the video. It is a violation to say, "What do you think of this?" and post that question with a video link. You should not post videos to places outside of Yahoo that ask members to do surveys or to subscribe. That is a violation.

Trust me, you should take the time to really go through the Community Guidelines. Also, if you have questions about how Yahoo works, instead of risking a violation by posting in Q&A, you should make these inquires in the Suggestion Board. As you can tell, I have, in a short period of time, become quite knowledgeable about what is abuse and what is not, just by posting several questions in there. The regulars who hang around to pounce on your question will, for the most part, make things clear right away, though even they disagree sometimes.

I hope that helps. Nobody likes a violation. I got one for telling someone they had posted their question in the wrong category. Thought I was being helpful but I was "not answering the question" so somebody reported me.

Cool party themes or places to go for a 13 year old?

janna

I am trying to find a theme or a place to go for my 13 birthday party in southern california

Answer
Movie party theme for hall or at home. Have a movie themed party. They sell decoration kit and lots of decorations for this at oriental trading. com. If at home watch a cool movie, have popcorn and all kids of candy and junk food. Make or buy pizza and have sundaes. Have a sleep over with the girls if you want. Have a dance in a hall with this theme. Have everhyone wear a movie star costume. Favors: black gold metallic beads from oriental, directors clapboard photo keychain from oriental, sunglasses from oriental or windy city novelities (make sure to buy adult ones).

Luau, beach Hawaii: Orientaltrading has the coolest decorations and favors for this theme and the cutest tropical invitation in the bottle. Give your guests leis as they come in. Play Limbo, Hula hoop, and have a few grass skirts and everyone (including the guys) have to give hulaing a try. Again if you have room to do this at home or you can rent a small room. Tropical pinata. Twister. Hawaii site including games: www.alohafriendsluau.com. Cool invite: Flower lei and attach a printed invitation card.

Neon/Glow in the dark This is a cool theme!
invites:
For the invites oriental trading has neon badges. They are neon nylon necklaces that have a clear plastic case. You need to make the cards on your computer using the business card maker on your computer or just use the MS Word. You might want to put a really big VIP in color and on the back at the top Nicole's Neon Bash in cool color and font and then the party info, who what when.

Oriental trading sells Neon gangster hats.

favors:
Oriental sells neon sunglasses.
Oriental also sells neon jelly bracelets
Glow in the dark bracelets and necklaces, lot of sites have these.
Neon Twist and Glow lollipops.
Neon nail polish u.s. toy company
Neon lazer candy (just like pixie sticks but in neon)
Neon slap bracelet at u.s. toy company
Decorations:
More neon themes go along with Glow in the dark.

windy city novelties has neon tablecloths, cups, napkins. Just type neon in their search bar.

Balloons:
Shindigz has black light sensitive neon latex balloons. Again put neon in their search bar.

Shindigz also sells a neon lights personalized banner.

Oriental trading sells a neon fringe banner

Oriental trading sells neon balloon weights for the balloons you buy.

Party cheap has neon party horns and garland.

Glow in the dark sites:
glow source
shop.glogames.com Lots of games here.
Light God

U.S. toy company sells neon body glitter.
Windy city novelties sell lumi balloons that are balloon with lights in them.

Large neon party pack (kinda expensive) at windy city novelties.

So to search for neon and glow items go to all the party sites ands put that in the search bar:

Camouflage/Army: Lot of decorations and favors for this theme. Also neat costumes.

These appetizers were great at our sweegt 16:

Taco Dip:
2 softened cream cheese.
1 16oz sour cream
1 packet taco seasoning.

Mix with mixer. Put in bottom of a cookie sheet. Top with shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and green onions. Use the cheese but you can altered the rest to your taste, maybe add black olives. Make 2 of these. Serve with tostitos scoops.

PUPPY CHOW
6 cups Crispix cereal
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup butter
12 ounce chocolate chips
2 cups powdered sugar
Melt peanut butter, butter and chocolate chips together in the microwave or on the stove. Stir into cereal. Put powdered sugar in a paper sack. Put cereal mixture in and shake until well coated.

Silver Dollar Sandwiches:
These are silver dollar rolls made by your bakery in the grocery store. We have them in our store just ready to grab, for large orders call ahead for some. Anyway they are perfect for parties, hand size, neat. You buy shaved ham, beef and turkey. You put lettuce on if you want and some cut cheese into triagles and put on. Also put real butter on on side of the bun inside of course. And have mustard and mayo packets on ice in case anyone wants that.

GAMES:
Twister
limbo
get a pinata that matches a theme if you choose a theme.

Put a certain number of candies in a pie plate, fill with cool whip or whip cream and guests have to hold their hands behind their back and find the candies to win a prize.

Buy poster of a cute actor or singer (get one of a girl and one of a boy if you are having a coed party). Anyway, put lipstick on the guest, blind fold them and then spin them a couple times and put them in front of the poster and they have to kiss it. Whoever comes the closest to the actor or singers mouth wins a prize. This can be funny, especially if boys come and they have to put on lipstick.

Also you can get some blank folded cards and envelope sets. You could get a stencil for the # 3. I would align the 3 along the fold side of the card. Trace your 3. Cut along your lines and cut out the "v" along the right side of the 3. My idea is turning the card into the # 3, but also get a multi color pack of tissue paper. Fold your tissue paper to cut strips and then cut them into squares. You could also tear pieces off randomly, which ever you like best. Another way is to cut 1' x 2' pieces and cut fringe in the 2' length, but leave about1/4 inch at the top of the 2' length for a gluing panel.. Once you have your fringe pieces you can use some white mod podge or elmer's glue and overlap your layers of tissue fringe. Turn the #3 into a pinata style invitation.

There are many templates online as well.

Anyone know what font is used for Go Diego Go?

lizjames

Also is there anywhere where I can fiend Diego invitation templates??

Answer
Hi LizJames,

Great question! I have a son who loves Diego (& Dora) so I know how important this can be. Hopefully some of these links will help you out:

http://www.nickjr.com/shows/diego/crafts/index.jhtml: Here you will find a bunch of "Do-Together Crafts" for Go, Diego, Go! Everything from Baby Jaguar masks to Diego's Spotting Scope. These are some fun & easy at-home projects that can be used for a party as well.

http://www.nickjr.com/shows/diego/print_learn/index.jhtml: At this link you'll find many color pages, cards and badges to print out and decorate for Go, Diego, Go!

http://www.nickjr.com/shows/diego/diego-safari/index.jhtml: The last link I'll suggest from Nick Jr, this one has everything for Safari- along with a video from the arts & crafts to inspire! If you are looking for a recipe to accompany your Diegopalooza, check this site out.

http://blogs.oc.edu/ee/index.php?/dlovejoy/comments/go_diego_go/: This personal family blog shows how to make Diego's outfit. It might be fun for dress up, a birthday party or just simply watching a favorite episode.

On Google's Image Search, there's a bunch of semi-high res Diego logos you can use, as well. This site used the logos as well as has a bunch of ideas for implementing fun Dora & Diego episode elements: http://www.birthdaypartyideas.com/html/dora_parties_7.html and this site has a ton of ideas as well as links for templates: http://kidstvmovies.about.com/od/godiegogo/a/diegoparty.htm

Here's the UK Nick Jr. site for Go, Diego, Go! with printable arts & crafts: http://www.nickjr.co.uk/shows/diego/index.aspx

And not to completely inundate you, here is the last link: http://www.disneyclips.com/imagesnewb6/godiegogo.html. It has some Go, Diego, Go! clipart that if used small, might be fun to incorporate into your designs.

I hope this helps you with your endeavor!

Very Best Regards,
Alana Renfro
