Q. My friend's daughter is turning 13 and she was wondering what would be some cool ideas for her party. Her daughter's birthday is october 27 and they don't want anything too expensive they have thought about six flags and then a sleepover or a plain sleepover or a early party like a pool party. please help! thanks!

Mall scavenger hunts are fun
you make two teams, each team has a camera and they have to run through the mall getting pictures of various things on the scavenger list or videos.
me and my friends do them a lot,

heres soome things to put on the list:
a video of you arm wrestling a buff guy\
some one get their hair done at a mall kisk
photos of:: tampax pearl, someone eating ice crea, a photo with a hot guy, a baby bib, colored skinny jeans, etc.

pool party sounds awesome, maybe at an indoor pool (soo much fun)
(idk if the outdoor pools open in october lol)

have a halloween bday party--
set up an scary obstacle course in the back yard--get parents or friends to help out by dressing up as jason myers, frankenstain, or just a shady character. cob webs, rope trips, and water balloons are also nice touches:) watch a scary movie

flash back b-day party (
my friend did this for her sweet 16. for a 13 year okld it doesnt have to be this elaborate..)
she hired a clown and got a moonbounce and inflatable water pool obstacle course thingy, and a slip and slide! we played with play dough, made cookies then ate them, water balloon fight,

GO CAMPING!!

a movie and one of the following:
play flashlight tag, man hunt, OR capture the flag --ask neighbors if they can use their yards, OR go to a park and play if theres not enough room.

lasertag- you can buyt laser tag sets at toy stores or

water gun fights-put something on everyones shirt, like a peice of paper,(just tape it on) and when its TTLY wet, the person is out. this is SO fun

Good birthday party ideas for a 13 year old?

My daughter is turning thirteen and she doesn't want a "kiddy" party. Her idea was to take a few friends to KOA for the weekend but that's a little too pricy for my liking, and she's allergic to mosquitoes so camping isn't really ideal for her party.

She's already reached that "Mom, get out of my life! But first can you drive me and Cheryl to the mall?" stage in her life, and she's not into crafts and organized games and stuff. She just wants a place that's not childish where her and her friends can go and, as she says, "be stupid" without having parents "breathe down their necks". She doesn't want to stay at home though, because apparently home sleepovers are boring and overrated.

I'm thinking something that's under $100.00 for her plus two or three guests. Any ideas?

Depends on the time of year. Pool party at the community pool or YMCA if it's summer. My mom lives at an apartment complex where there is a pool and you can reserve the clubhouse for the day. If you know someone who lives in a place like this, ask if they can do that and you pay them back. If you can stay at home you can save a lot of money. Leave little activity tables out in the backyard with instructions (put packing tape over them so they don't get ruined) and then go off to your room and they can go to the things when they want (piñata, water balloons, relay races, movie inside, food station, "photo booth" you can manage that by having a camera and some props they can use as you take pictures that way you can supervise a bit, etc.). But that's only if it's summer. Now on to the colder months. Is there a jungle rapids or arcade near by? Go carts or putt-putt. Mall scavenger hunt (for if there are more girls) have a list of things and clues of where to find them, one person in the group HAS to have a cell phone. They can just take a picture or if it's super cheap provide money to buy it. They have to be back at a meeting place (food court usually works best) by a certain time. Indoor camping in your living room, pitch a real tent or they can make a blanket fort. A movie, bowling, fancy (but reasonably priced) dinner/lunch, etc. Just set up food, music, and decorations in your house or backyard and have a fire pit going, she can invite many friends over since it's cheaper. I hope this helps! Good luck!
