Proud Momm
My daughter will be turning 3 and we've began to think about birthday preparations. Were just planning a small get together at home with only close family, but she is having the hardest time deciding on what to do her party in lol. She loves the Little Einstein's, Olivia The Pig, The Backyardigans, The Wonder Pets, Dora and Diego, and so on....she is driving me nuts wanting all of them and of course she doesn't get that it can be just one lol. How did you decide on a birthday party theme once your toddler got old enough to tell you what her or she wanted?
Its just going to be cake, ice cream, and gifts from family..nothing major because were taking her to an indoor water park as her gift from us. I know that a party theme isn't a "big deal", but still, I want her to feel involved.
We've been looking at decorations and characters online..maybe it would help if I took her to an actual party store. Thanks.

What to do for my Birthday party?
Bridget
okay so in just less than a month (in June) i will be turning 15 years old and i want to throw a party for me and my friends. the age range is from maybe 14 (but i dont think so)more like 15 to 16 or 17 and it's both guys and girls.
but what i need is ideas for what to do.
i need:
somewhere we could go
things to do
stuff to eat
movies
music
and any other fun stuff we can do to have an awesome time
and remember these are teenagers, so no immature activites and no too mature activities. also it's both guys and girls so no spa nites or sleep overs or girly things... we've already got that part planned.
try to help keep these things cheep and if u could include costs it would be great.
thanx for any help :)

My friend had a picnic in the park for her birthday. It's not too expensive and uber fun!
Place: Any park will do. If possible, try to get one with a playground and playing equipment. Your friends will have a lot of fun climbing all over stuff if they can, no matter what the ages are! Before you just show up for the party, be sure that you don;t need to rent it out or anything. The last thing you want on your special day is another party there too.
What to do: Sky's the limit. Look up some fun outdoor games online, such as different ways to play tag or hide and seek. Or, just bring a basket ball along. If the park you choose has a water spigot available (most do. usually found near the water fountains) slip-n'-slides make for a great summer party. Another idea is to tell your friends to bring water guns and ballons for a water war. Just make sure your invitations mention that they will get wet (BTW, do NOT wear white if you do this).
What to eat: Again, sky's the limit. What my friend did was request that everyone bring something to the party, like chips, sandwiches, soda, ect. Then her family supplied burgers and, of course, cake. However, since it's a summer party, be sure to bring the ice cream in a cooler is it doesn't melt. Also, check to make sure that the park you choose has a bricket you can use to cook any meat you want to eat.
Music: A battery operated boom box is a great way to crank up the tunes! Just make sure that it doesn't get wet. If you have a friend with a good taste in CDs, ask him/her to bring a few CDs. Also, you can;t go wrong with just going with the radio setting!
Movies: If the park you choose is close to your house, you can invite everyone over after your done at the park for the movie. I probably don;t have the same taste as you or your friends, so I can't recommended anything. However, ask your friends what kind of stuff they like to watch. For example, a lot of my friends like to watch anime, so an anime movie would be a good idea.
15 is a very special year, so I hope your birthday is a blast! Hope this helps! Happy (early) Birthday!!!
(estimated cost:
burgers (or other entre)+ cake and ice cream+ park rental+ party favors= I'd say about $200? That's just a guess though)
