How early to send out 2 year old birthday party invitations?

Her party will be on April 24th. Do you recommend 6 or 4 weeks in advance? Do you recommend regular mail (or hand out) instead of email or facebook invites?

If it matters, her party is on a Saturday from 4pm-7pm.

Not everyone is fortunate enough to get weekends off. I know some of my family/friends require 4-6 weeks notification to get a day off work. I thought that was being polite. 2 weeks for our out of town visitors doesn't seem like enough time to plan. Some people are coming from very far away.

6 to 4 weeks? This is not a wedding, this a two year old birthday party!

Send them regular mail on or around April 10th.

EDIT: Again, this is a two year old birthday party. This should about the child, not the adults. We invited CHILDREN to a CHILDREN's BIRTHDAY PARTY
