What is a good party idea for a 14 year old?

Q. My daughter is turning 14 and we cant think of a party idea for her. She has done movies, drive in, sleepovers, scrap booking, cooking and scavenger hunts for parties themes in the past and they were all pretty good. But we need a GOOD, new, impressive, creative and over the top party idea for an OCTOBER birthday that is not fall or halloween related. :) Please get back to me,

Magazine Party - Here's a party with it's own entertainment. Guests come dressed as title of a favorite magazine; a prize for best one. For invitations, just paste front cover of a magazine onto piece of white paper; with marker write details on reverse side.(or cut each of 8 magazine covers (of same size) into 8 squares. Onto each piece of white paper, paste a square from each magazine.) Pin magazine covers to tablecloth. For refreshments, reproducing a tempting dish shown in a magazine color photograph. For games: Unscramble Mixed-Up magazine titles. Identify Trademarks - Cut 25 trademarks from magazines, paste on cardboard, then number 1 to 25. Give a sheet of paper & pencil to each quest. Ask guests to number paper 1-25. Show trademarks, one by one; let them jot down manufacturer beside correct number. Prize goes to highest score.

Jump house party stupid for a 13 year old girl? *READ BELOW FIRST*?

Lady Perso

I need opinions. My reasoning for party: The theme is like a forever young kinda thing and it's like I'm gonna live up my kid life until the clocks strikes 11 (time i was born). If you don't agree with the jump house, could you list some ideas?
Well like live like a kid until I'm considered a teen instead of a kid. I don't plan NOT acting like a kid :)

Answer
Ok maybe a survivor themed party. First have the guests show up around 4 on friday so no one will have to leave for church and then make homemade pizzas cake/icecream presents ect. then start challenges. first give out different colored bandanas and make team names like tiki wiki ect. then do some challenges like stick throwing anything groos like worms ect be creative and think of own ideas then be rewarded with monoply money. with the money you will have an auction and have some goofy prizes or whatever in a bag so no one sees what bidding then get higher and higher then sold and make up nicknames so like then sold to bellybutton girl teehe then have a scavenger hunt outside. Have the list prepared b4 the day then like find a yellow hydrant and take pics with hone ect. then have an outdoor movie with projector. Next have smores and camp out in a tent. in the morning have menus prepared and laminated with like eggs bacon ect. soft music and the name of restaraunt and have parents serve you! that was the best party eva i loved it and my guests did 2

Sweet 16 party! HELP!?

Casey K

My friend and I have the same birthday and were both turning 16! It's at the end of February and we live in a pretty cold place...so no beach parties or camping ): There will be around 25 people girls and boys. So we want to know what GAMES/ideas and what we should do in general (sledding, sleepover for girls, Wii, movie?)
It CANNOT be expensive! We aren't able to rent a room or whatever. We just want it to be laid back!

and we for sure want a lot of fun game ideas!

Thank you so much! (:

Answer
Have some indoor and outdoor things in mind for the winter party. If you can go sledding..then make sure there's a time and place and sleds for you to take turns with. Making a snow sculpture contest of 2 teams or 3.

Indoor things (besides the wii and Twister or those Let's Dance videos, which are fun!..)...have some balloons on hand. Blow one up per each guest...tuck a note inside each one before giving an instruction for them to do....object of game is to have 2 teams and place 2 chairs far across the room. First person of each team grabs a balloon, rushes to chair, sits on balloon til it pops and shouts out what's written on the note and runs back to tag next member. You could put fortunes in them...or you can write things like "skip back to your team", "run backwards to your team", "do a somersault back to your team", "hop on 1 foot back to your team", "twirl around back to your team at least 3 times"...etc. (You may have to repeat some if you can't think of enough..that's ok). First team done wins.

Here's another one: The M&M Candy Hunt Game (candie colors have point values and are hidden in baggies which guests have to find, unaware of what each color is worth)...how to play>>
http://www.easy-party-ideas-and-games.com/mm-hunt.html

Here's another game with candy (You can tell each guest to bring 2 candy bars to the party..unopened!..take them from them when they come...or you can buy them, make sure there's 2 for each guest)...
Objective: Each person tries to get as many candy bars as they can.

Materials:
2 Candy bars for each player or couple
1 brown lunch sack for each player
a Timer, and a Wood die
a Bowl

Timer: Set timer in another room, so no one can watch to see how much time is left. A stop timer is perfect. Most families play for about a half-hour. After playing a few times, you will know how much time needs to be adjusted. Itâs fun to vary the time from each game to keep them off guard.

Preparation: If using this game for a party, assign each person to bring two candy bars. Take the candy when they arrive. One person (mother, father, or party leader) places two candy bars in a brown sack. Fold down the top of each sack the same so they can't see. If there are extra bars, place them in a bowl. Place a mark, (x) on the bottom of one of the bags.

Starting the game:

1. Have everyone gather in a circle.

2. Place bowl inside the circle.

3. Each person picks a sack out of the center.

4. Explain that each sack contains two candy bars and no one is to look until directed to do so.

5. Each person looks into their own sack but does not tell what kind of bars they have.

6. Everyone closes their bag. Players may look inside any sack that is their own during the game.

7. Who goes first? The player with the mark on the bottom of their sack. That player rolls first then follows to the left.

Roll Die: A player has to follow what has been rolled.

Now, if a #1 is rolled>> Take the Bowl: If rolled the player takes all the bars.

if #2 is rolled>> Trade sacks: Player picks another player to trade sacks with. Remember: You want the most candy

if a #3 is rolled>> Lose a turn: Lose next turn.

if a #4 is rolled>> Add Bar to Bowl: The player takes a bar from his sack and adds to the bowl. Donât let people know your sack is empty. This might help out when trading. If you receive an empty sack donât say anything. Just hope you can pass is off

if a #5 is rolled>> Double take: A player who rolls this takes one bar from the players on his left and right. If the player is out of bars, youâre out of luck.

and if a #6 is rolled>> Guess a Bar: Players need to watch bars and sacks as they are exchanged.
When rolled a player says a person's name and tries to guess the candy bar in their sack. The players only needs to answer with a yes or no. If the player asked has the bar, he must give it to the roller.

Ending the Game: When the timer goes off everyone keeps the sack that they end up with. If a player has rolled the die when the timer goes off, that player may complete his turn. At this time any bars left in the bowl must be rolled for.
