My siblings and I are planning a surprise birthday party for our mother and I've been given the task to create the cards. All I have is photoshop CS6 and I'm wondering if there are other programs similar and simpler than this? What do you recommend best?
Answer
You can use any of the Microsoft Templates and the free OpenOffice to make your cards or this site is good:
HP Creative Studio for Home:: http://www.hp.com/hho/hp_create/?jumpid=re_r11400_us/en/hho/IPG/ipg20_cpt_int_fromprintstudiotopnav_
For birthday cards: http://www.hp.com/hho/hp_create/cards.html
Or: http://www.hp.com/hho/hp_create/cards-invitations.html

How can I create a customizable email party invitation for others to use?
arcane_rka
I have a party business and I want the option of a customizable invitation with my company name and original design on it for my customers to be able to send to their guests or link their guests to. Specifically: my design, and the customer can customize the date, address, birthday person's name and stuff. Is there a website where I can do this? Evite doesn't do this and I only know basic HTML.
Answer
there is no easy and free way to do this that i can think of.
i can only think that you would create an editable pdf invitation. then send it to your customer who will fill it out then send off to their guests. The invite would have to be sent as an attachment.
If you have created the design then you can get someone to convert to pdf for you (software for editable pdf is expensive unless you take advantage of a free trial for Adobe Acrobat)
Try fiver.com to see if anyone is offering a gig to convert your image to pdf form for $5.
also http://www.make-your-own-invitations.com create custom designs, they can do it for you.
