First of all, is there a theme? You can use your theme to word your invites.
This is what I used for my daughter's 3rd b-day with a Dora theme:

Please Join Us for a Fiesta to celebrate
(Your child's name)'s 4th Birthday!!!
on Saturday, March 24th, 2007
from 2:00pm until 5:00pm
at our house
321 Fake St.
City, State, Zip
Get ready to party!!!

RSVP
(phone #)
(email address)

Or start with
(Child's name) is turning 4!
Join us in celebrating!!!

This site has 100 different poems and limericks to use on your invites...both boy/girl themes, etc. It's a great idea.

Where can I find inexpensive bottles and corks?

I am having a luau/hawaiian birthday party and I want tp put the invites in a bottle, right? On Ebay, there all mini or way too big. I just need some like the size of a coke bottle and an easy slip on slip of cork. I am inviting 28 people, so any bulk lots will do. If you know of any craft stores or websites that are inexpensive and cheap, please list these also.

Have you tried party supply stores like Party City? Luau themes are really big for summer, and the idea of an invitation in a bottle is becoming more and more popular. Also Michaels' craft stores and Wal Mart stores (in the craft section) sell them but they have to be purchased individually (they are used for sand art, glass painting, and a wide variety of other projects).

For the cheapest place to get what you are looking for, I would try Oriental Trading Company, you can purchase them by the dozen, and their web site is www.orientaltrading.com

They have some invitation sets that come with supplies to make your own invitations (along with the item numbers):
IN-25/4949 - Skull and Crossbones
IN-31/38 - Mardi Gras
IN-12/3062 - Birthday
IN-33/145 - St. Patrick's Day
IN-12/3065 - New Years Eve
IN-38/226 - Graduation
IN-12/3064 - Royal Princess
IN-12/3063 - Wedding

By the way, if all else fails, Coca Cola is still for sale in glass bottles in some grocery stores. You could purchase those, drink the soda, and then make your own corks out of foam, or buy just a package of corks from someplace. You could always use plastic bottles and replace the screw on lids with corks, or paint them whatever color you want.

If you don't mind plastic, Oriental Trading Company has some cool candy message in a bottles, they are inexpensive, and they come with powdered candy in a variety of flavors, you could put the invitation in it, instead of the included paper, and call the colored stuff "colored sand". They even have flamingos, hula girls, and fish on the bottles: IN-34/1325
