Sweet 16 party! HELP!?
Casey K
My friend and I have the same birthday and were both turning 16! It's at the end of February and we live in a pretty cold place...so no beach parties or camping ): There will be around 25 people girls and boys. So we want to know what GAMES/ideas and what we should do in general (sledding, sleepover for girls, Wii, movie?)
It CANNOT be expensive! We aren't able to rent a room or whatever. We just want it to be laid back!
and we for sure want a lot of fun game ideas!
Thank you so much! (:
Answer
Have some indoor and outdoor things in mind for the winter party. If you can go sledding..then make sure there's a time and place and sleds for you to take turns with. Making a snow sculpture contest of 2 teams or 3.
Indoor things (besides the wii and Twister or those Let's Dance videos, which are fun!..)...have some balloons on hand. Blow one up per each guest...tuck a note inside each one before giving an instruction for them to do....object of game is to have 2 teams and place 2 chairs far across the room. First person of each team grabs a balloon, rushes to chair, sits on balloon til it pops and shouts out what's written on the note and runs back to tag next member. You could put fortunes in them...or you can write things like "skip back to your team", "run backwards to your team", "do a somersault back to your team", "hop on 1 foot back to your team", "twirl around back to your team at least 3 times"...etc. (You may have to repeat some if you can't think of enough..that's ok). First team done wins.
Here's another one: The M&M Candy Hunt Game (candie colors have point values and are hidden in baggies which guests have to find, unaware of what each color is worth)...how to play>>

Here's another game with candy (You can tell each guest to bring 2 candy bars to the party..unopened!..take them from them when they come...or you can buy them, make sure there's 2 for each guest)...
Objective: Each person tries to get as many candy bars as they can.
Materials:
2 Candy bars for each player or couple
1 brown lunch sack for each player
a Timer, and a Wood die
a Bowl
Timer: Set timer in another room, so no one can watch to see how much time is left. A stop timer is perfect. Most families play for about a half-hour. After playing a few times, you will know how much time needs to be adjusted. Itâs fun to vary the time from each game to keep them off guard.
Preparation: If using this game for a party, assign each person to bring two candy bars. Take the candy when they arrive. One person (mother, father, or party leader) places two candy bars in a brown sack. Fold down the top of each sack the same so they can't see. If there are extra bars, place them in a bowl. Place a mark, (x) on the bottom of one of the bags.
Starting the game:
1. Have everyone gather in a circle.
2. Place bowl inside the circle.
3. Each person picks a sack out of the center.
4. Explain that each sack contains two candy bars and no one is to look until directed to do so.
5. Each person looks into their own sack but does not tell what kind of bars they have.
6. Everyone closes their bag. Players may look inside any sack that is their own during the game.
7. Who goes first? The player with the mark on the bottom of their sack. That player rolls first then follows to the left.
Roll Die: A player has to follow what has been rolled.
Now, if a #1 is rolled>> Take the Bowl: If rolled the player takes all the bars.
if #2 is rolled>> Trade sacks: Player picks another player to trade sacks with. Remember: You want the most candy
if a #3 is rolled>> Lose a turn: Lose next turn.
if a #4 is rolled>> Add Bar to Bowl: The player takes a bar from his sack and adds to the bowl. Donât let people know your sack is empty. This might help out when trading. If you receive an empty sack donât say anything. Just hope you can pass is off
if a #5 is rolled>> Double take: A player who rolls this takes one bar from the players on his left and right. If the player is out of bars, youâre out of luck.
and if a #6 is rolled>> Guess a Bar: Players need to watch bars and sacks as they are exchanged.
When rolled a player says a person's name and tries to guess the candy bar in their sack. The players onl
