Hoola Hoop
Ok, well im girl and my birthday isn't until January but i need to start getting ideas and sending invitations out. This time of year obviously its going to be cold(ish) so i dont really know what to do for a bunch of 13 and 14 year old boys and girls.
I do not want to:
go skating (not everyone knows how to skate)
bowling because its boring
laser tag because its like $8 for 15 mins a game
movies because a bunch of kids at the movies for a birthday party is not a good combonation
im open to pretty much anything other than what i listed above as long as its not extremely expensive
Thanks in advance

My birthday is in January too, and it sounds like you are the same age. :0) I've always enjoyed outdoor snow parties. You have a snowball fight, etc. and then you come in and have hot chocolate. Ask your guests to bring their favorite DVDS, and watch a couple that everybody agrees on while you warm up and eat popcorn.

Coworkers party I do not want to go to?
Scarlet
I have a coworker, she is mildly insane and talks incessantly about boys and the crushes she has on them. (She is 30 years old.) I don't like being in the same room with her, honestly.
She has decided to throw herself a housewarming party. Or, an apartment-warming party, rather. It is pretty obvious that she expects everyone to bring food/wine/gifts, because she keeps mentioning how she loves throw pillows. (-_-) She has invited me to this event, and it is, unfortunately, on a Saturday at 8:00.
Now, I would go to this party, if it were on a Monday-Wednesday. I wouldn't go on Thursday, because that's Jersey Shore night, or Friday, because that's movie/bar night. On Saturday, there is a plethora of things I would rather be doing, such as going to the casino, going to the club downtown, or frankly just picking my nose would be more of a sufficient use of my time than attending her party.
Regrettably she ambushed me with the invitation so I couldn't think of an excuse right away. Can someone please help me with a good one? I have three siblings so I was planning to use a "birthday" as an excuse, but the aforementioned host is a Facebook junkie and also a stalker so she has taken the time to friend request all of my siblings and has access to their birthdays, which are all in the summer months.
Anyone?? Help? Love you guys, me thanks.
Haha! I love your responses, you guys rock my universe. My siblings are all Facebook friend wh0res, and will accept everyone and their mom due to their competitive nature.

Just keep it simple, so you won't have an elaborate lie you'll need to keep track of later on. The best way would be to "remember" that you have prior plans. Preferably with someone she doesn't know in person or on facebook.
