Baby's 1rst Birthday Party?

New Mommy!

My son's first birthday is in April. Having a small party is not an option because I have a huge extended family and lots of kids will be attending. I am not worried about my son because he has been to similar parties recently and has done great.

I am trying to find ways of keeping the kids entertained and the costs down. The kids ages range from 1 year to 10 years old. The theme of the party will be Mickey Mouse. What games should I have and what should I put in their goody bags?

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

Well my cousin had a first birthday party and I helped plan......

I'd say......

Try and make everything in the goodie bags consistent/equal
(because kids fight if one has bubbles and the other doesn't)

Keep it healthy though......
Make sure there are a lot of fruits and veggies......

Fruits- apples, grapes, oranges, mandrin oranges, plums, peaches, pears, etc......

Veggies-celery, carrots, corn, broccoli, etc.....

(dips (sauces)would be nice to add)

Others- mini pizza, candy, cheese, crackers, chips, etc........

Try a Mickey Mouse costume
(My cousin had Dora,Elmo,and Kung Fu Panda)

Have games for all ages
(I've noticed that musical chairs doesn't work for all(parties) because the bigger kids may get rough

Dance Competitions are fun
(But have a prize for the winner and small medals for those who didn't win)

A pinata and Pin the tail on elmo would work
(For kids the pin is velcro(so its safer))

Have the mickey mouse club house soundtrack
(It'll go with the theme)

Help on wording for invitations. DORA please.?

Q. I'm having both my girls birthday parties together this year and they both love Dora which is the theme of the party. I'm trying to come up with cute wording to go on the invitations. There names are Katelyn who will be 3 and Michelle who will be 2. Would love some ideas. Thank you! :)

just use a few words that dora says and add a picture of dora and you should be right
