Who is throwing the party? Is this a church-wide event? When you say committee, this there an actual Birthday Committee?

Invitations aren't generally signed, are they? Or, is your church making this a more formal event with a required/implied attendance?

Are wedding invitations on pads tacky?

You know the type that you normally use for a birthday party they come in a pad of about 20 or so? I'm more thinking of using them for the bridal shower / bux night as i don't want to spend extra on flashy invitations for something that people will eventually throw in the bin!

NOthing wrong with casual invitations for a casual party. You can save even more money by inviting people with a friendly letter instead of a purchased invitation.

Betty and I are giving a shower for Denise, Henry's bride to be. It's at Betty's house on Saturday 5th June at 6 pm. We hope you can come! Please give me at 555-1313 to let me know.
